Why is he useless for not signing a 36 year old when you have got one of the hottest young strikers in the game (Greenwood) and Cavani who is 34 already. Maybe if you signed Ronaldo, you then miss out on the opportunity to sign Haaland next season?
Utd have signed Sancho & Varane this summer, that’s good business. If you don’t do well this season, blame Ole and not the board
Ok a few things here Flanno.
• I dont want Haarland because I dont want another Mino Raiola client. Also Haarland will be moving clubs every two or three years to line Mino’s pockets so whats the ****ing point. He’s just a cash cow that Mino will use for agent fees. They’ve pretty much admitted this already.
• My issue is more with the United fans who are teeing off on Ronaldo for making a move to the only club thats willing to make him an offer.
• There is definitely room for Ronaldo at United. Cavani will definitely not play every week and having Ronaldo there can only strengthen Greenwood’s education. United will be playing A LOT of games this year, so there will be opportunities for all if Ole learns to rotate his squad. I want Greenwood leading the line as first choice in 22/23, fortified by the wisdom passed on by Cavani and Ronaldo. While a few weeks ago I would of taken or left Ronaldo, I’d rather us get him then severely strengthen a bitter rival.
• Sancho should of happened last window, the deal was a piece of piss this window as most of the details were already in place. The money was still set aside, the terms were the same, the only difference was the fee for Dortmund. It should of happened last year and it was a tap in this year.
• Varane was admittedly a great deal. But it only interested the Glazer’s because they needed to move shirt sales with the new sponsor. The sponsors were furious with the Glazer’s for the fan unrest. I doubt they even know what position he plays.
• No it isn’t a good window for United because they still haven’t addressed what has been the biggest hole in the lineup. CDM. If that isn’t addressed, the window is a 6 or 7 out of 10 at best.
• Flanno with all due respect, your looking at this from the outside, so you don’t really know what your talking about. Your not taking into consideration that the Glazers are still the only owners in the Premier League to be taking dividends out of the club, after they saddled it with crippling debt to line their own pockets. They hadn’t spent a cent on Old Trafford which is falling into a state of disrepair until they were basically bullied into it by the fans and every decision they have made regarding United has primarily served to line their own pockets at the expense of the football side of the club. They run the club like a ****ing bank, not a football club. ALSO DON’T FORGET THEY TRIED TO PUT US IN THE ****ING SUPER LEAGUE WITH THE SOLE PURPOSE TO MAKE THEMSELVES MUCH MUCH RICHER. As a Liverpool fan I thought you’d understand the enormity of that.
• Also when did I remove any responsibility on Ole? Although he has not been given the midfielder he needs to challenge the top teams, he does constantly do head scratching things like ignore Van De Beek, pick the McTominay/Fred pivot even though it turns our back 4 into a back 6, and he has no idea how to use his subs bench. If we finish outside the top 4 he deserves to be sacked. But until that board and owners are removed we will keep following the same cycle no matter who’s managing the club.
