I don’t think he comes back anytime in the short term. United are smart enough to realise the PR nightmare that would bring and Ten Hag is smart enough to realise what kind of a distraction that would bring to the overall squad.
In saying that, down the track, who knows. In the eyes of the British law, he has no case to answer, so United would be in their legal rights to bring him back, but come on, we all saw the tapes and photos, and we all know that when police drop a case like this one it doesn’t always mean someone is innocent, it sometimes mean a payoff has happened.
Morally speaking I want him nowhere near the team.
One of the quotes from the British Police about the collapsed case:
“Withdrawal of key witness means there is no longer a realistic chance of conviction in this case”
That to me sounds like that key witness is the victim and she has been paid off by Greenwood to drop the charges. Could be wrong but that’s how I see it.
