With or without Morris, we weren't going to make the top 8 this year. The cracks were showing way before Morris was sacked, even to the point that they were showing late last year.
The club decided that Morris was not the man to take us through to the next stage. Also from what Riccio said in the podcast, the option to have Morris stay on til the end of year was given to the players and staff, and majority apparently were ok to say good bye.
Take how you want, but from that, the poor showing on field is totally on the players and playing staff.
Disagree I think we were a very good chance of making the 8 again , we showed enough in the first 5 rounds and with many players to come back from injury we were certainly a better than even money chance.
Would we have gone far ? Probably not but who knows
I have no probs with the club deciding bomber was not the man but massive probs with the way it was handl ed
Riccio says the players were asked , no they were told flat out , is what I’ve been told by an insider
Performances on the field are the players responsibility sure but there morale has been shot down by the boards actions , many are plainly unhappy obviously
The caretaker coach is not the right person for this situation and this is reflected by the players actions ,
Unfortunately. We can’t do a single bloody thing , this season is over already , thankfully there will be a clearance sale at the end of year and then we move forward ,
The whole situation is so disappointing and upsetting for fans and sponsors hence their desire to blame the board
Finally I cannot see our performances improving at all for the remainder of this year so get used to some drubbings
