On the plus side.
More time to work out the final clauses to his contract.
Clauses like he isn't allowed to get injured?
Other clubs can still make him offers while he has a few months on the sidelines so does it really give us more time? Maybe BHU wont feel as urgent to get it sorted cause he won't have to worry about it while playing for a while but if that were the case he would still be keen to lock down his future.
Regardless I'm not worried about it, don't see him not staying here. I am sure the club and BHU will get it done at some point appropriately unless some club came in with stupid money offers and we couldn't match. Please Madge and Hook stay away
I wonder if Fitz will have the opportunity to pick from our best 20 this season
Does it matter? I reckon we have been pretty close to having our strongest or best 17-20 players available for a couple weeks. It's hard to jam much more quality in - Trindall & Wade up for debate
Having said that we did suffer against the Storm having to bring in Bomberoti on the wing and playing McG in second row. then we lost Dale early and were in even bigger trouble and now we don't have BHU so our 'best 20' will take a different shape again.
Such an important player in our team.
When I think of his style of play it's kind of part way between a Royce Hunt and a Finucane.
Hard to replace.
Hopefully he's firing on all cylinders for the finals.
Interesting having Hunt & Finucane mentioned as a midway composite describing BHU
I think alot of us thought he was gunna be more a mix of Fifita but really he's become more of a straight running, hard hitting forward that has a bit of the old Fifs agility and off load in him but the straight running hard hitting is less of what Fifs is know for and what we see most from BHU now
still has a bit of X factor about him though which I like but his basics have been done really well this season
Hunt has shown nothing more than the odd hi light hit up and over eagerness to offload.
His line speed is poor, getting back on side, kick chase, getting back ready for an early hit up, lateral defence, slow off the ground, low quality minutes is all reserve grade standard.
Hazelton is the opposite to all those things and it’s time for him to get his chance.
I think that's harsh
Hunt's debut season for us he impressed , then had to battle injury now trying to come back and earn a spot from limited opportunity. Sure he has issues and things to work on like alot of players but his carries are quality, agressive and he can murder in defense too. He is a first grader IMO
The coach can work with him on the basics and effort areas
He's not a big minute player though
Hazelton I like but he is a different type of forward
