I think it might have been the case the Knights got inside word he didn’t want to move or relocate & the Ponga camp were only holding out banking on Dolphins upping there offer which means the Knights, desperate to keep him would then increase their own offer.

When the Knights pulled their offer it may have stunned the Ponga camp that they needed to accept the gaurantee of Knights offer.
Just my thoughts.

Whilst he is freakish I’d prefer Hynes, the Knights must be envious we got a bloody good player for probably half of what there going to pay there bloody good player, it effectively means we can go & get another good Nicho (2 for 1 deal)

Yeah always seems a hostile negotiation with Ponga & Newy. Neither party seem to trust the other to act in any good faith. Pretty **** foundation for team building.
