Its nothing compared to what Thomas Kelly's family is going through.
What if a rugby league player from a different club wrote on his arm F.M.B (for Free Martin Bryant) and paid cute visits to him in prison and the clubs response was "supporting a mate going through a hard time"? This is the same thing but on a smaller scale.
Consorting with savage criminals who king hit and kill innocents and publicly supporting them isnt "support a mate going through a hard time", it shows a serious lack of compassion, judgement and ethics.
This sort of attitude really gives me the ****s.
What the Kelly family is going through is no concern of anyone but their immediate friends and family. Just like any other tragedy that occurs on a daily basis to a number of families in Australia. The sheer fact that this particular tragedy has been a spotlight for the one punch law changes purely drives this public sentiment.
Andrew Fifita owes no empathy or compassion to the Kelly family, sad cold facts of life, but true. Do you think if something happened to Fifita's family a personal tragedy the Kelly family would give a ****? In a democratic society Fifita has every right to scribble some bull**** about supporting his mate to his hearts content. Wait for some clarification as to what the meaning of it is.
Just as the Kelly family have every right to be offended by it if they so feel. Neither set of individuals there are in the wrong.
'Consorting' - if it's as simple as visiting someone in jail - that really does seem to be over hyped.
