Not sold an extra few weeks off with a life threatening throat injury is gunna give his body the significant extra recuperation you’re suggesting
Gunna stop him running on his fragile legs is what im saying

Nothing major but some comments from Klemmer about his concern for Fifita

So scary for the big fella, really shows how frightening it was and how he is going. So good to see him up on his feet and how’s the heart on the guy, finds another patient and says I’ll help you and find people to donate.
What a champ and hero!
Not sure if pay walled, I happen to read it through Dave Riccio Twitter
Saw a ‘highlights’ clip of klemmer on the weekend on fox. Not sure if it was purposely done this way by fox but every hit up he had a raised forearm leading into the contact. Definitely something he should considerworking on
watch every run by rudolf and he does the same thing
its protection otherwise you'd just get smashed

I get that, but if they come in contact with the oppositions head or throat then there should be consequences.
A tackler needs to make sure they don’t come in contact with an opponent’s head or throat (anything above the shoulder), so the same should apply to the player carrying the ball.
Shouldn’t it??
You can get done for raising forearm into head as the ball carrier
Doesn’t often get picked up thou.
Just sayin
I love him as our rolley polley big lug of a human but to take some pressure off his knee and maybe find a little more endurance, agility and lateral movement he may want to consider looking to shed a stack of weight (safely over time) in preparation for next season. Get down to a player weight more akin to a big second rower (e.g 105kg ish) than a prop forward. He might wanna consider thinking about this for post footy life regardless.
