Exactly the reason why I didn't go around Mozza's place for Christmas dinner

His are probably about the same condition as a good leg ham on the bone everyone has already had a helping or two of

A 100% Priority for me would be Finucane - a pack with Talakai (11) Graham (12) Hunt (14) Finucane (13) and Rudolph (?) would be savage

My only concern is how many Melbourne players go downhill when they leave for another club?

It's uncanny.

A lot of that has to do with going to **** clubs. I also can't see it happening with Finucane as he is not really that type of player. I think he would do well at the sharks.

I agree, was a really good player @ the dogs but didn’t get much fan fare nor media attention, the blokes been a very good player his whole FG career, Ennis was keen for him to join us when he was here & it sort of a near thing but he ended up signing with the storm

Yeah probably right on both counts there.

Let's hope we're not a **** club by then!

I agree. Or Cam Mcguiness (Spelling?) if he's happy to play 13. Handy backup for Blayke if needed too.

Isn't he the current Dragons captain? I'd assume he'd want to stay there if he was playing 13, and only move for a guaranteed 9 gig.

Either of those guys would help us a lot, or a Nathan Brown, all three off contract after this year.

2022 pack
Rudolf BHU
Talakai Graham
Finucane/Brown

Hunt Fifita Pele/Wilton/Nikora/Tolman

Pretty sure he wants to play 9.

Anyway, I'd rather throw more money to someone like a Brown/Finucane.

A lot of clubs seen to think this storm players will bring the whole organisational culture with them... But more likely the been allowed to leave because they're not the best fit for that culture

Don't know about that. They've historically been very top heavy wiith the cap. A lot of players have left for better contracts elsewhere.

Don't know

Yep they move out for a bigger contract and find themselves out from under the storm systems thumb, with more money, at a club with worse culture and they’ve probably already won a GF and played international so they take their foot off the pedal

Yeah, I probably could be convinced either way. They still somehow (ahem) manage to hang on to the players they want, regardless of the coin they're on.
Thinking about the guys they've released/moved on that I can think of...
Blair - turned to poop
Cronk - couldn't hide how much he thought Smith was a douchebag (respect...)
Croft - apparently no-one liked him
Glasby - one Origin hit wonder (we all wondered why) and injury issues (though I see he's back at the Storm in a back office capacity)
JAC - way too good for winger money, definitely leaving for a payday (though I think he'll actually still be really good)

Only Cronk really kicked on. There's probably others though

Yes. These are definitely stats from another forum.

Tolman will only get more metres this year with us

Sportingnews have Tolman missing out to Pele in their predicted round 1

Will Kennedy
Sione Katoa

Chad Townsend
Braden Hamlin-Uele
Blayke Brailey
Aaron Woods
Briton Nikora
Wade Graham
Toby Rudolf

Connor Tracey
Andrew Fifita
Franklin Pele
Jack Williams

Have seen a few other predicted Sharks sides he hasn't made either. Obviously pre-trials it is a long way out to be making these calls and expecting them all to be correct but I thought it was interesting they went with Pele over Tolman. I'm expecting Tolman to be in the side at this stage personally.

Is there something you are trying to take from these stats or did they have more context on other forum?

Tolman also made the 16th most tackles (average per game) in the NRL last season with 40.3 (missing average 1.3 per game)
Better than anyone on our roster. Next best was Brailey who finished 33rd in NRL with 36.5
Toby made 29.2 (missing 2.4 per game)
BHU only made 21.9 (missing 2.1 per game)

Tolman is a completely different player to those two and offers something different to the team, something which is a big weakness in our squad.
