Remember the players get paid from NOV 1 as the start of the season.

So he has already been paid 7 of 12 months , say 500K of 850k if you believe the figures.

It can't be more than 350K for this year , and then the negotiation goes on from there for years 2-4.

But Matty what does the money have to do with whether you’re a yes or no for Woods?

You either like him as a Shark or you don’t.

I couldn’t care less what they paid him or who foots the bill etc. I trust Flanno and our office to get those things right.

I have not been a fan of Woods at all in the past, I think he’s horribly overrated.

But if he comes here I’ll support him as I would any other player. I’m sure our coaching staff can get him playing the way we want him too.

he isn't worth the doggies releasing him if we were only covering 250k$ they may as well keep him and offload someone else. I reckon around the 450k-500k mark is where it ends up. Still not a bad deal for us if Flanno get's him motivated. Remember woods is in abasket case club atm and was at a former one in the tigers. Yes he's a big overrated pillow but he is capable of good footy in the right circumstances.

I like Jayson Bukuya as a Shark but I wouldn’t want him on a million a season.
