Well I’ve rewatched the game, not sure why I did that but I had nothing better to do.
I‘ve calmed down a bit from before, I was not happy at all with the way we played, especially in attack.
But if we take into account the following points, maybe it’s not as bad as we think:
- We have Kennedy, Katoa, Tracey, Ikavalu, Dykes, Williams, Finucane and Toby all on the injured list. More than a half a starting line up out.
- Getting the win and having no further injuries would have been the aim from tonight, sometimes you don’t play at your best when you try to do that.
- Our defence was excellent, only 6 missed tackles and while they did not throw a lot at us, we kept them to zero.
- Despite our horror error rate we still looked 100% more like creating opportunities than the Dogs did, we never stopped trying to make metres and create chances. Execution let us down unfortunately.
Looking forward to see who is on deck for us next week and seeing how we play.
