Maybe they couldn't fit all the names on the blue segment? If so then that would suggest that the membership drive has indeed been an overwhelming success so far!

There are actually two different members jersey's hanging in the Sharks Shop. One where the writing is a darker gray (I'm guessing this is the one you saw, gando) and the other is a very light gray that is nice and still readable if you go close enough. I hope they run with the latter.

Thanks maybe i had one to many schooners? i hope they dont go into the white, Why dont they cap the members names example at 4000, make it more exclusive... then being money hungry and wrecking the jersey.

I think there is a maximum of 4000 that can be placed on one jersey. I heard Fisk talking about it on the radio a while back.

He said that if they get more than 4,000 then the members names will be spread over 2 separate jerseys so that (say) A-K will be on jersey numbers 1-6 and L-Z will be on numbers 7-13. (Or something along those lines)

He's an ideas man that Fisky!! Not sure if Zappia would have ever been smart enough to work something out like that!! :trent:

Ah, why does my name have to start with a B! It means i will only have my name on 6 jerseys, not on 7!

I'm not 100% sure that the allocation of numbers 1-6 is correct, I was just using it as an example.

It may have been A-K = 1-9 and L-Z = 10-18 or something. I cant remember exactly.

It might not be A-K either. It may be say A-G or something if there are more memebers with surnames at the begining of the alphabet. (I'm assuming there will be an equal number of names on both jerseys ??)

Oh, and I think it is based on last name and not first name too.

Yea i figured it was just an estimate by you.

My first and last name start with the same letter so it really doesnt matter!

Isn't that the mock up they have hanging in the store? I'd be surprised if they manufactured any before the January 30th cutoff date for new members to sign up.

Yes it will be a sample but already looks pretty full, hard to see how they will fit too many more names on there! Maybe it will only be available in one size, XXXXXXXXXXXXL?!

I am with you mate - I had a look and saw the name Harry Gallen about 10 times!!!
Surely he ain't paying for 10 or more memberships to get a good run on the jersey!! :gal:

This is just a mockup to show what it is going to look like.

Open the photo and look at any name - for example go to the Coldwell Banker logo and directly under the N in BANKER it you'll see "JASON MANLEY JAMES MANLY JASON MANLEY JASON MANLEY"

Now, count down thirteen lines and then go about three names to the left... voila!

Obviously they've just made up about a couple of hundred names and them repeated them

Ok, maybe not made them up - I see Dane Wheeler's name under the bottom right corner of the Coldwell Banker logo - but they've just got a list of names and repeated them over and over again
