This one is up there for me. I went to Broncos vs Sharks games at Lang Park / Suncorp / QEII for almost 25 years, and this was the first one I went to that the Sharks won (I missed the 2002 and 2003 games).

Another one was at Suncorp and we were getting pumped at halftime. Todd Carney put on a show the second half to win the game. I think the following day was the bubbler post.

I was there getting grilled but was awesome to have the last laugh. So good leaving there as winners.

Another great one was the Cowboys game in 2006. Sharks 24-22

Cowboys were undefeated. Shark had 1 win from 5. There was a bit of controversy about Dykes and Kimmorley not being able to gel. Kimmorley missed this game, Dykes played 7, and it was probably Dykes' best game in his second stint as a Shark.

Another great game in the 2000's was the 2001 semi where Luke Stuart scored the long range try. Sharks 52-10. Dykes and Campbell put on a clinic.

I remember that one! We were down 22-10 at halftime. At fulltime some cows fans in front of me were saying 'I can't believe we've lost to the sharks of all teams' haha

Yep, and we hadn't scored a point for three straight games, and trailed 22-0 H/T. Geez we've had some terrible moments in our history lol

Yeah that’s my clear number 2
No gal
No wade (when he was good) after 5 mins

Tagataese was also missing. That may not have been a huge factor, but the step down from Taga to JSL was pretty significant.

Just wanted to congratulate Chad on creating a thread that went for more than one page.

Didn't we have a similar game against Easts that year?

A week later. 22-0 vs Broncos was our biggest comeback, 24-0 a week later against Easts for 30-28. The only bright moments in our wooden spoon year.

I thought they were fairly close together. Definitely good memories in what was a terrible year.

True, we hung around till the bus left after the semi..Tags was there had a great chat said then he will be busting his balls to get back in the team even said won’t be good till about 5 days before the grand final, they really have injury recovery right down to the day just about.

**** yeah, we definitely ride a roller coaster with this lot. Some might call this a fan forum but I like to think it’s a Support Group.
We don’t always see eye to eye but we all in the ride.

One of my favourites was the 49-30 win over the Knights in 2001

https://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/seasons/nrl-2001/round-22/sharks-vs-newcastle/summary.html

Peachey got a hat trick, and Presto was on fire. Pretty much peak John Lang era.

Also loved the victory over Souths in 2015 finals series at the SFS

YEAH, that final against Souths was good. Loved the Cowboys Game in 2016 finals also.

Especially all the stories from 15 where they destroyed us and we wanted revenge and we bashed them, then turned on the points.

Sorry to hear that mate.

Despite all that, it is obvious to us all (with the possible exception of one poster) that you know your footy. :)

Thanks mate. I played a lot of different positions, and I was lucky enough to have some very good coaches from about 15 up. Being coached by someone who has played at a pretty high level make a difference in juniors imo - especially with things like structure and defensive patterns. My 16’s coach played in the same BRL team with Mal, Belcher, Jackson, Lindner, etc.

What was his name mate? I lived right near Lang Park in the 70’s and 80’s and used to walk to the ground practically every weekend in those days to watch the Match of the Day. Followed the Brisbane Comp very closely.
