Our front row has been poor and we need some quality there, round 1. That's my angle.

Could come down to if Fitz is a 'get your best players on the park' or 'best positional players' type of coach. I think today's game is more the former, and our signings suggest we'll go that way (through plan or circumstance).

The style of lock favoured today should make that role Cam's, and I still like the idea of Blake 'resting' at lock for a spell. That helps solve the 14 Jersey issue too.

Knowing us, we'll sign Klemmer and it'll all be even more up in the air!
Yeah I agree. Seems like we have 5-6 good benchies who can play lower minutes but need two blokes to put their hands up to start.

He shouldn't be. What exactly did he do this year.
This is an ongoing discussion with Brailey. In short, his defence wasn’t up to scratch this year and needs to improve - but the whinging about his attack is complete nonsense imo. I could easily find a dozen examples of where Brailey made a smart play in attack but his teammates didn’t get on board.

Kicking game was also coming along under Bomber (e.g. 40-20 v Cowboys) but Hannay shelved it.

I agree but instead of just stopping in those circumstances he should just keep going.

Rubbish. His defence is actually good and he has a great pass but his attack is rubbish, particularly his running game which is non existent. He rarely runs and when he does he doesn't run with any purpose or conviction at all. The guy is actually super quick.

I actually like his Defence also, Gusty. Got dragged sometimes but so be it for the position. Several others in there, round the middle should've taken a leaf out of his book.

Needs to get his misses and ineffective tackles down a little. The stat ineffective tackles is one thing but also there were quite a few times where I thought he needed more help than he ideally should have to complete a tackle. Got away with this a bit as many would rather point the finger at Woods as the problem in the middle (he did have his own issues in there). Best example was Brailey literally dragged Woods off the tackler and everyone on here blaming Woods for it. Some also complained Woods never made first contact but NRL players are smart enough to run at 80kg every time instead of 105kg. Gutsy in defence and has some good technique but we lacked a top notch defender and he is very light so he got overworked in this area.

In attack I agree with Burgess, Blayke is trying to get out, draw defenders and hit a runner and there is rarely anyone there with him to make the most of it. He could just stick the headdown and try barrel through but he is so light he probably just ends up getting dominated in the tackle most of the time leading to a slow ptb. Happy for him to play the attacking style he is but needs runners with him which I think Hynes (great support), McInnes (hard worker and knows the hooker role) and hopefully Kennedy will all do better job of.

I’m talking about defensive positioning and decision making. He can tackle but needs to work on that stuff. Most times when he misses a tackle it’s because he is out of defensive shape.

So it looks like our unvaccinated player will be allowed to play in NSW but not in Qld or Vic?

And it's not mandated that players have to be vaxxed, so you could have cash tied up in a player that's sidelined half the time?
This can't be the solution.

The Queensland Government has banned unvaccinated people from attending sporting venues, throwing the futures of a number of NRL players into doubt.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced a host of new Covid guidelines on Tuesday morning as the state heads towards the 80 per cent vaccinated milestone.

Once Queensland reaches 80 per cent double-vaccinated, predicted to be December 17, a range of restrictions will be introduced.

Unvaccinated people will not be allowed to enter hospital venues, stadiums or festivals.

That means any unvaccinated athletes will be banned from playing at the likes of Suncorp Stadium, the Gabba and Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

More than 95 per cent of NRL players have been vaccinated, however some big-name stars are refusing to get the jab.

More than 95 per cent of NRL players have been vaccinated, however some big-name stars are refusing to get the jab.

Among them is Melbourne Storm prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona while Queensland Origin star Josh Papalii has previously indicated he will not receive the vaccine.

Gold Coast Titans centre Brian Kelly last year initially declined to receive a flu jab, but the club insists it will reach 100 per cent vaccination, along with the Brisbane Broncos.

North Queensland captain Jason Taumalolo was hesitant to receive the vaccine but it has been reported he will be inoculated.

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo said the league was expecting the Queensland Government’s decision, which will be reviewed if the state hits 90 per cent fully vaccinated next year.

“It’s something we were anticipating,” he said.

“We are at over 95 per cent vaccination rate across the competition. Some clubs are at 100 per cent.

“Whilst we haven’t mandated vaccinations, we have been incredibly strong in educating and facilitating as many players as possible getting vaccinated. We have always said we would adhere to public health orders.

“That will mean the very small group of players that choose not to be vaccinated will have to adhere to those public health orders.

“We are working on some pretty stringent protocols because we have anticipated a landscape that is unfolding as it is.

“Those protocols are designed to keep everyone safe and the competition running.”

Awesome. Congratulations to him mate. I hope the Thunderbolts do well. I'll be sure to try to catch them if they are live streamed this year.

So you can't find a place in our top 17 for a guy who was streets ahead of anyone else in our squad during the year, won numerous player of the year awards with our club and finished in the top 10 in the Dally M Awards?????

The rest of your squad I could handle although there are others in weird spots but omitting Will is just plain ridiculous.

Barring injury or some other unforeseen circumstance, he'll be in the number one jersey Round 1 next year.
Yeh nah I can’t he’s **** always has been always will be.
