Dunno, I think he gets into the middle with his support play a lot more from centre. And he's really good at that... and we really need it until Kennedy figures it out. Defence is okay and his short passing/offloading is okay. Can kick a bit too. Still would prefer a specialist replace him, but until we get one I like his contribution and involvement more from centre

Yeah I can’t see it .. he’s good at running and bringing energy.

Passing and thinking isn’t really his strong suit - which is key to playing centre, would love to be proven wrong

When he is on the wing, Tracey reminds me a bit of Corey Thompson, can break tackles, fast, elusive and gives 100%. Anyone else see that or is it just me?

Made a very good career out of sheer effort and Tracey is a few cm taller than him.
I think he can put on a few more kgs without losing anything.

I don't really have an issue with him transitioning to centre though either. I think once he gets steady play there and relationship with winger he will be fine to make passes as needed.
Not like our other centre passes the ball.

That's fair enough. If he's a specialist at anything it's probably broken play. Uses that speed and enthusiasm to find his way through the line. That's such a great trait... if only the rest of his game matched he'd be a superstar.

Still, Fitzy will turn him into the next ET, without doubt.

Interesting on Sharkcast they're saying our back 5 has some real speed? I'm still not seeing it.

Bit premature, but im excited with the buys we have so far. Id love someone like manu in the centres, but with what we have so far id go with:
1. Kennedy
2. Katoa
3. Ronaldo
4. Ramien
5. Tracey
6. Nicho
7. Tricky
8. Rudolph
9. Mcinnes
10. Hunt
11. Nikora
12. Wilton
13. Finucane

14. Brails
15. Talakai
16. Graham
17. Uele

18. Moylan
19. Williams

I love brailey, but its no secret that teams are running at him and getting an advantage over 80mins. Mcinness would tighten up the middle for first 20 and shift to lock, then brails comes in and runs amok. Talakai to play middle when he comes on

Leaving Williams out? One of our best players this year?

Who do we see as right and left wingers?

I think a Tracey/Ronnie combo could work well where for different looks they could swap between if they were a consistent pairing and built a good relationship
But Katoa is the better winger and the better finisher and thus perhaps should be on the left so the above wouldn't happen unless Ramien swapped and I think he's always been on right.

Personally I see Tracey getting dominated in the air on the wing. I think Ronnie is pretty good there so I'd keep him on the edge.

I got no issues with Ronnie and Katoa staying there. As for Tracey, well we still havent signed a centre yet so I’m guessing its probably going to be where he’ll be at this stage. Unless he moves Ronnie there and puts Tracey on the wing. Happy with either although I’d rather Ronnie on the wing.

Perhaps my post was a bit confusing, I meant Tracey/Ronnie could have some interesting combos together on one side, but they can’t play together on one side unless it is left and Katoa might be better on left wing.
More asking who you guys think should be left and right winger out of Katoa and Ronnie

18 Williams. I feel bad he misses out. He should have a place in the team, somewhere.

Nikora playing centre. There is not much difference between a second rower and centre these days. Both positions play out wide, need to have a bit of size. I think he could play there.

Hunt played about 3 or so games this year. He’s not taking Williams spot or shouldn’t as he’s been our best forward all year

imo Katoa is better on the right.

Beale/Leutele used to do a bit of what you are talking about whenever Feki was out. Beale was the winger, but in certain situations Ricky would be on the outside.

I forgot that Moylan is still on the books. He should get the utility spot.
