Whenever I see grounds like this, I always think of a player slicing his hand/arm after sliding into touch, about 20 yrs ago. I wanna say Marcus Bai. It was pretty nasty, think it was a grate or signage maybe??
Last WC in England Lewis and a Morris both ate **** into fences if I recall correctly

Right before Lewis was meant to join us, right?

Anyone else up watching this live?

Yep, but 2 quick tries to AUS and I’m off to bed!
will just watch the highlights later
Bit like that huh.

Roycie in for another big year next year. At this stage he's a ways in front of Kaufusi for mine.

Probably glad I didn’t stay up.

Sharks player ratings.
What disappoints me is the “Didn’t spend much time on the field” comments for both.
Would have been a good learning and the longer minutes the better.
Oh well!

Result was as expected.

15. ROYCE HUNT - 5

Didn’t spend much time on the field, but made an important tackle on Valentine Holmes early on. Finished with 35 running metres, a tackle bust, an offload and 18 tackles with one miss.

23. OREGON KAUFUSI - 4

Didn’t spend a great deal of time on the field, only took two runs and missed crucial tackle on Josh Addo-Carr in Australia’s first try.

Australia too good. Even with a team supposedly gutted from players switching allegiances, Australia still too good and the world cup stays where it belongs. Tedesco absolutely superb and if Suaali’s manager thinks that the Chooks will turf James for his client then he’s the dumbest money grubbing prick on the planet.

All the credit in the world to Samoa, such an incredible team and there’s absolutely no shame in being second place. They did good things for International RL in this tournament.

Australia too strong as expected. I do not know how to feel about this World Cup.

I am of course happy that Australia won, but such a one-sided comp takes the fun away. We all knew what the result was going to be before even the comp started.

I thought Royce went pretty well when he was on the field. He was there for the start of the game when the energy was high and the packs were really going at each other and didn't look out of place.

Even that isn’t going to be as enjoyable as it usually is, with it being in Qatar during middle of the season.
Agreed. I'm surprised he only made 35m but Australia's defence was great. Had a decent first stint but seemed like his second was only 5 minutes or so.
