They aren’t going to move Hynes when Miller played well given the opportunity.

yeah but I think Miller might off a bit off a difference in other areas, kick returns, turning half breaks into actual breaks with his speed.

He might not have the same ball playing skills as Kennedy but he's probably been training enough with us to be as ready as he'll ever be.

If we were going to lose a spine player for 5 weeks Kennedy is my first option to pick from over the others.

At first I read this as you would replace the injured fullback Will Kennedy with Will Kennedy at fullback ha ha - talk about next level smokescreens

We look to have more depth at fullback than hooker so can more readily cover for Kennedy but if I had to pick a spine player to miss out for 5 weeks Brailz would be a decision that tempts me but I don't want to lose McCinnes from the great job he is doing from the bench (or even last week starting at 13) and I don't think Berrell is ready to step up to it

Nico needs to stay at 7
He could do the job very very well at FB but long term for us overall he is best to stay put.

Miller is a FB, has speed and I think he would back up better through the middle (over Will).

He has also been playing some games at 6 IIRC for the Jets so better option with ball playing (over Tracey) added to his skill set.

Yeah swapped into 6 for a bit but has swapped back to FB now.
As I said somewhere else low stats from week just gone and came off early, not sure what the deal with that is...

I actually would rather a Dykes or a Iro over moving Hynes. Even Tracey tbh.

Hynes is our long term halfback, let him keep playing there. If we slide down the 8 a little so be it but keeps our halves combo together and everything ticking along ready for Will to slot back in.

I think I like Hynes at halfback more than most seem to. I don't want to move Hynes... why change half our spine when we can just change a quarter.
I get what you're saying... the argument for Nicho at 1 is that it's the strongest side you could field. Trindall is more seasoned and Nicho has a lot of fullback form on the resume. And he'd play a Teddy role more than a Paps/Drinkwater role in any case I'd say, coming in as an extra playmaker and kicker.

My own devil's advocate... Nicho would benefit a lot from playing the finals as a number 7. Hmm...

We got smashed 30-10 by the Raiders last time he played fullback, our equal biggest loss of the season

Lachlan Miller full back, don't want a repeat of magic round moving Hynes to fullback, need him at 7 improving his game in that position every week, all the way through finals

I agree, Miller is the smart decision. I wonder if there is room for a debut for Dykes before the end of the season though to push him to sign an extension. Maybe even just round 25 if we have a top 4 spot locked up.

What we're going to miss most with Kennedy is the stuff you take for granted - the organisation and positioning in defense.

From memory Miller let more than one bomb bounce in Coffs... lets hope he's learned how to catch.

I think he can catch, its just that he needs to be in the right position.

Because of Nicho? There's been a few close to that result where he was at 7. We lost against the Roosters 36-16 two weeks later. I don't think you can draw a line between the two.

I didn't want Nicho moved to 1 and we lost badly, I'm drawing loads of lines!

There's a few on here that have been asking for a change at FB for a while now.

Looks like you got your wish
