Bring back Flanno please.. I don’t like where we are going, he would’ve ripped heads off by now. A lot of our players have had over 3 years experience in first grade now and it’s hard to see them being top 5 in their position for at least the next few years unless someone drills them on how to be consistently active and on top of your game.

By then we would’ve invested more money into them only to get the same in and out performances, we really should be using the $$ freed up very wisely
Did you like where we were going in our first year or two under Flanno?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Ill cop some hate but Kennedy is well and truly overrated.
He is a 2 trick pony.
Is safe as houses under a high ball
And plays the linking catch pass out wide extremely well but that’s it.
His defensive positioning is horrendous, when he actually gets into position makes the wrong decision 99% of the time or is a soft as a no pillow.
Has very poor support positioning, isn’t elite in speed, strength or agility.
Doesn’t creat something out of nothing.
He has been the best option at the club the past few years but not in the top fullbacks in the comp that he is made out to be.

It took Flanno longer than 3 years to get the likes or Loots and Feki to where they needed to be for our team and Flanno wasn't in his first year of FG coaching. Some fans were still wanting Flanno sacked right up until 2016

Kennedy only has just got his handling sorted this season, I share some of the frustration around his play but we gotta show some patience with the kid while other areas of his game develop but yes perhaps Fitz should be addressing these areas more prudently as it is holding out team back a bit at times and is prob a bit frustrating for Will.

I also think his effort in defense is better even if he still struggles bringing players down or getting in the right spots its well ahead of where it was in previous seasons. Most fullbacks arn't top tier at every aspect of fullback play, there is just a handfull at that level. Top 5 in their position (I assume you mean NRL wide not within the club) is a big ask.

It's not as simple as just ripping heads of, if that's whats needed sure but I think there is more to it than just that and some players are still learning their trade. They still need the coaches support and guidance. I don't think you can just drill into them or tell them hey be good every week, always be at the top of your game and be in form. The gameplans and structures arn't working that well lately and the whole team is suffering for that.

Instructing them to get more involved and active yes that's realistic if it works within the rest of what the team are doing or trying to do.

We have started coming up against some decent opposition as well.

Is Miller signed elsewhere past this year?

He is signed with us till end of 2023 IIRC

Just a little harsh that one bad game can get you all but hung, drawn and quartered.

Yes there's alot more going on with our team than our fullback having a quiet game

Looking at the comments over the last few pages- Jesus we are quick to right people off.

If my wife wrote me off after a few bad performances I wouldn't have 3 kids today! Be lucky to have got married!
Nothing wrong with pointing out his defence and support play needs work - it’s always been a problem. I don’t see anyone going off on his game more that there’s things in his game that should’ve improved a little by now

Not at all mate.

But "overrated, Bring back Flanno..." please.

After the first week he was suspended we couldn't wait to get him back.

I do agree re his support play is something he needs to improve on.

I thought his defence in general had improved at the start of the year however like a lot of our team has dipped of late.

Apezza, don’t be so quick to throw your wife up as an example of not writing you off, have you had paternity tests on the kids……… 😂

Just on this whole Will thing... did anyone bagging him actuallly watch him throughout the game? I was in and out with other things but even I noticed that he looked hobbled. Maybe direct your criticism to his durability if you have to, but I don't believe he was 100% for large chunks of that game
