He could always try the Andrew Johns orange hairstyle. Though he later admitted he played his worst game ever that day

When Will learns to save tries like Gutho he'll leave him in the dust.

Last game he actually saved a few. Not necessarily “holds the bloke up on his own” situations but there were at least 5 instances I can think of where someone else misses a tackle less than 15 out and Kennedy tidied up. When he first came in to the NRL those are the situations he was half a step behind on.

There are still some instances where he could have played things better (e.g. he stayed on the line rather than moving up on both Storm dummy half tries) but his positioning defending the try-line is light years ahead of where it was in 2019.

Absolutely. His defence is much improved – his positioning and his strength. It's exciting.

His strength and courage have been a big one. Last year I was mentioned a few times how small our back 3 were. Kennedy was getting rag dolled and just jogging back to the line. Less self preservation this year and hardly any rag dolling

Getting rag dolled and often would pull back from contests too

Definitely the big difference now. He's moved past self preservation and looks way more confident that he's not going to be crunched every time he contests a kick, returns the ball or has to attempt a tackle to stop a try... or even digging into the line to run or draw and pass. And he's not getting hurt... which is good, you'd hate to see his early cautious justified!

I like how he gets his arms out in front for initial impact, a bit like a crumple zone, but still keeps the ball secure.

Congrats on making the short list for FB of the year Dally M tonight. I reckon Turbo will win it.

The turnaround this guy had in the 12 months is bordering on legendary.

The minority had him as our answer at fullback, let along a long term option. 12 months later he's on the short list of FB of the year and won all of the clubs main awards.

Even if he doesn't improve at all next year he's still in for a great season but I expect he'll improve and the confidence he'll take into the preseason will be amazing.

Also we still have morons on FB wanting Hynes at Fullback.

theres a dumb ****ing lizard on twitter that wants wk at centre, ct at 7 and nicho at fb
Not a fan of Tracey in the 7.

It’s really hard to know what to do with him.
I do like him and he can fill a lot of positions in the back line but I’m more excited about the prospects of Metcalf TBH.

So what to do with Tracey?
Versatile and gives 1000% effort every time he puts on the jersey.

Best case is that he can be developed into a great centre (He is he a “good” fill-in at the moment, but not great/elite).

If not centre is he then our 14?
Does he have enough play making ability to make that role his?
I’m not convinced based on his games in the 6/7.
If we do play him at 14 what does that mean for Metcalf?
Does he then play ressies and does that mean we risk losing him?

Lots of questions for Fitz.

All depends on how we fill those 7 spots still vacant in the squad I'd say. We've had a few surprise signings so I'm not assuming anything just yet

Besides Turbo does anyone know if any other fullbacks were above Will before voting went behind closed doors?
