To me the still frame where his forearm is wrapped around Rava's eyes looks pretty damning.
I'm still unconvinced Kennedy's was worse and yet worse on and off field punishment.

Tupou doesn't get beaten and reflexively catch him high, he watches him come lines him up and then throws an arm straight into his head.
Yeh who knows . The only certainty is that they always come down harder on the next guy after there is backlash following a bad decision.

Just saw the judiciary report on NRL.com

Love how whoever wrote it said Jesse and Will were out for "several" weeks. Not sure how 2 or 3 weeks is several! That is usually 6-7 weeks!

And as the Dragons coach pointed out - lined him up from 30 meters away - Kennedy’s was a total reflex action that looked spectacular - should of been a grade 2 …

Tupou had heaps of time to make another kind of tackle.

Yeah I gathered this is what they were trying to do - make it sound worse so people will read the rest of the article.
It really is poor journalism, albeit being a small matter.

I'd be wary of Dykes but it'd be Raiders without Wighton and Rabbitohs post Reynolds so the kicking games shouldn't be too brutal

Looked at wrong thing, Titans not Rabbits, their halves aren't exactly killing it either
I'll take my vote off Dykes, just based on highlights from last week. Got beat badly by a kick for a try and generally looked uninspiring. Has looked good in other highlight reels so I'm not completely off him but in last weeks game Metcalf looked way better. Bears third on the ladder us second so it would have been a testing hit out, think final score was 40-28 or similar.

Iro looked good too (wearing 11 for some reason)

I thought you were a wordsmith Chad!

Several: more than two but not many.

Dykes is on a development contract still isn't he? He'd need a special exemption to play NRL or an upgraded contract to play?

Only showing the tries, hard to tell exactly how he went (it didn't help I thought his number looked more like 7 then 1),but I thought it was the winger who dropped to bomb that lead to the Bears try? Had a couple of try assists.

Iro looked very good.

You're right it was, hard to tell but on re-watch Dykes jogs into frame afterwards.

I retract my retraction... he has typically looked good though but you're right he's not top 30 and I was only responding to his name being mentioned as a long shot anyway.

I think Iro is looking very good and might be ready to play some NRL sooner rather than later but in saying that I mostly only see highlights.
Think Tracey and Hiroti would block him getting an exemption this week.

Regarding exemptions I though round 11 was a point we didn't need them after, there have been some tweaks to these rules, but quick google gave me:
There will be no change to the size of NRL squads, but each club is allowed up to six development players they can now call on from round one and will also be allowed to call on talent with feeder teams in the NSWRL Knock On Effect Cup or Queensland’s Hostplus Cup.

So near as I can tell we actually can play any dev or Jets contracted player any time.

Didn’t the Warriors want Metcalfe for this season and we said no?

This is the reason why.

Pick him at fullback
