Ehh you werent alone, I mean I wanted Corey ****ing Allen. We’re a fan site remember, none of us are anywhere near footy experts, so we’re not going to bat a thousand so to speak.
I wanted Allen too
I knew he wasn’t great but was in good form and I desperately wanted pressure on Will for the jersey… turns out Tracey was capable of delivering there. He’s a great one to pressure a position because you know no matter how much more skill you have if you don’t put your all in he can take your jersey.
Price Dogs ended up paying for Allen was far too much even for what he was giving at the time so double glad we didn’t get him if that was what we would have had to fork out

Just saw the dressing room vid of Up Up Cronulla, if you get a chance to see it WK looks alright, doesn’t seem to have issue with his shoulder dancing around with no discomfort.

I do think a closer game he stays on, seems very precautionary given he took another knock to it.
If a rest would have helped def should have played Miller instead though, don’t want to risk him

Was pretty keen on Allen too... I didn't know if Kennedy had it in him and wanted some competition for the spot. Thankfully Tracey played that role instead

I had no confidence in WK being a long term option. FB was a massive hole for us I thought. Didn't really want Allen but & was glad we didn't spring $500k for him.

You're right about Tracey. If nothing else he'll push you for effort.

Needs to work on his support play. So many times our forwards had an arm free looking for an offload but nobody was there. Once he nails that he will be a top 5 fullback for many years to come.

Yeh I mentioned something similar a few weeks back. When he adds that he will definitely be up there.

His role has changed this year it seems.
He isnt acting as the additional playmaker in the line as much as he did in 2021.

Hopefully this is just a temporary thing to allow Hynes to find his feet in the halves without Kennedy being 'in his way' (similar to how Moylan was always in SJs way in 2020)

Always there for our sweeping backline plays both sides of the field.

Gives us not only the extra player, but the defence have to commit to him or he'll put the foot on the gas and dart through the line.

Almost guarantees a 3 on 2.
