Sharks did the same on the WIlton try against Manly. Nicho was blowing up when Kennedy passed it to Ramien for a hitup on the blind. Managed to score one tackle later anyway.

The form Will is in, forget the old comments that we can't win a comp with Will at fullback.

This year, we can't win the comp without him.

Never thought I would write this but 'can we win a comp with this guy as our fullback'?

The answer is, yes we can.

This guy has been ****ing incredible this season and continues to show little bits of improvement every game. He is now one of the most important pieces to the puzzle imo to hopefully going all the way this year. We can't do it without him.

About time you lot caught up.

For all the positive talk around Will, I don't think he's playing necessarily better than in years past.
Simply the team is firing, the spine is firing and Will's playing just like he always did (maybe relatively niggle-free too).

Flying home to an I think third 1st place finish on Sharks Forever player of the year voting in 6 years, with a second in there too.

I also feel like he has been this guy for a while and it’s more about good results from the rest of the squad helping make sure he gets to take long kicks and work with some space vs get stuck in positions he has little hope of succeeding in

Things like his defence, backing up through the middle, being in position to take that charge down against the Warriors etc.

I feel is fitness has gone to another level.

Maybe.
I'm not going to quote Bort, but he read my mind.
I think it was always the case, even though I have been critical at times (fan boy but not blind).
He's always been Mr. Reliable. And with the team playing like such a well-oiled machine at the moment, he shines even more.

I fully agree on the fitness thing. Could be that the staff prepared them better (last year's schedule was brutal) and/or that the team's been quite healthy for the most part of the season.

Yeah, Will surprised me with that effort. Something's definitely clicked across the squad. Maybe the reality of this being this squad's last hurrah and the fast approaching, uncertain futures for many of them has finally set it. They look more mature across the park
