Will is 29. At this stage of his career, a decent 3 year deal would be an incredible safety net for him and his family. A significant injury could go close to ending his career.
Either a long term deal on the money he wanted wasn't on the table, or he loves the club so much that he was prepared to take the risk to remain here on the shorter term deals we could make work.
If it's the later, build him a statue. But I think it's reasonable to assume it's the former.
I was more refuting the concept it’s a fact no other club would want him rather than what those deals may of looked like (or not looked like) and his reasoning as to why he’d take our and look past others.
I certainly strongly suspect he wasn’t in tremendous demand.
I’m sure people had their reasons around why nobody else would have offered Chad anything. And in that instance those were proven wrong.
