It was clear from the get-go that Manly were targeting Will in a big way. There were periods where it felt like their defence was more focused on Will rather than Hynes and Trindall.

Thought he handled the pressure well. Didn’t have a blinder like we’ve seen over the past 3/4 weeks, however he didn’t crumble and lose confidence which is a big bonus.
Yep, Manly did their homework well.
I'd add that Nicho adjusted well. He didn't stick with a plan that wasn't going to work.

Now don’t all get in a tizzy
I’m not advocating for Will to leave (in fact I’ve been a big supporter of his over the years), but IF we don’t extend him and with Ison and Dykes suffering major knee injuries, could it be possible that we have a back 3 of Sione, Sam on the wings and Ronnie at FB to start next season?

I'm hoping we find some coin thou
Can imagine Ronnie batting the bombs back all the time

Kennedy's tackle attempts on the 2 Manly tries were rancid

I don't expect him to cut down a charging prop on his own 2 metres out from our line or anything but surely he can do a bit better than what he dishes up at times. He goes high and arm grabs and it's just really bad

Other plays missed those tackles too I get it but yea all the same I'm speaking on Will

Maybe trying to wrap up or dislodge the ball, believing that’s his only option???

Just a guess.

The first error I can give a little leeway - ball moving around had Paps squirming too.

Second one he bounced it back out again was poor - virtually never see them from him.

Still season very overall positive

I thought he recovered extremely well after his errors. That try assist did his confidence the world of good.
Even Paps fumbled a few in the first half. I think that breeze was deceiving.

I couldn't feel it from where I was seating.

Overall, it was a good performance from him. We didn't have a bad player tonight. But when he dabbed at that ball instead of catching it and then they scored from it.. All the bad memories came flooding back.

Awful errors tonight but he’s still had a great season. Question marks still on him in the big games after tonight though
