So far in Barry’s tenure he has lost all sponsorship, sold the club and the coach down the river and signed 1 player, not a great strike rate in my opinion.

All true facts, but let's hope that in years to come he is remembered as the CEO who pulled us back up to the dizzy heights of 2016.
Not for being the CEO that instigated our deathroll!

I agree, he has a lot of work to do ..he’s ballsy enough to drag us down, let’s see if he’s ballsy enough to build us up now

Was it an oversight or was it deliberate?

That's something I really don't want to think about, I am hoping it was an oversight and he was blinkered by the fact that those involved back then couldn't be so stupid.

Given BR stated he didn’t think they would look any further back than 2015 when he handed over the servers suggests the stupidity/naivety tag sits equally with him. A bit of due diligence would have helped, you can’t change the previous teams actions but the damage could have been contained.

Our $800k, Tigers $750k and Parra's $1M should be used to fund a forensic audit on every club from 2014 to end FY 2017. Clearly it gets results.

Barry was just an idiot who did something stupid which exposed the previous stupidity of other idiots.

Flanno is winning idiot though and that's all that really matters in pro sport so I'll side with him.

Yep I’m sure if the NRL took the servers off all clubs, they would find ****** to pin on most of them.

I’d say Sticky’s must-have-at-all-costs CEO Richard Fisk was high on the worst ever list. When you’ve got a club where an employee like the coach is calling the shots as to who their boss is you’re obviously doomed from the start. The club’s corporate and executive cultures has been a shambles for a long time. However, that is largely built on the systemic and organisational vagaries of having a football club and a leagues club having a single board. The problems with the club are hugely entrenched in its structure and constitutions and by-laws.

Under the hypothetical of the club being relocated, what does this mean from the club entities point of view?

I mean the NRL only owns the license to have a football team, and the branding right? They don't own the leagues club or the assets so I'm guessing that without the costs of the football team the club itself would become quite viable and would just convert to a standard club? A junior leagues club?

So if Barry had gone to Flanno and said, “hey mate I’ve found this little discrepancy can you explain it?”, Flanno would have grabbed him by the collar, pulled him aside and told him to very quickly forget about it.

So Barry obviously didn’t do that. Was it an oversight or was it deliberate?

Because of the emails? I don't think them being turned up or mattering would have even crossed Flanno's mind.

No, not because of the emails. Barry wouldn't have known about them at that stage.

I'm talking about the salary cap issue.

But on further thoughts you're right, Flanno wouldn't have given it a second thought.

But I'm saying that perhaps Barry or someone else on the board would know the NRL would go through the servers and therefore find the evidence and make it easier for them to get rid of him.
