I think it would be pro rata otherwise it would be too easy for him to get to Nth Qld.

We have a seat at the table for 2020 and beyond, but that is not worth the paper it was printed on.

Yeah that's the way I read it too. He can only play for us, but that doesn't mean we have to pay him the money he would have been on. But it's a moot point because I think we'd only play him as part of extending beyond next year.

Whether we must offer him 2019 value or can offer whatever we want who knows

Odds on if we can't offer him a deal he wants then we probably 'do the right thing' and let him sign with someone else anyway...

Fair enough mate I do think we could do better but for the right price they aren’t bad options in my mind. Certainly Gutho could add something to our team, I am a little worried where all our tries are going to come from without Holmes. His ability to play several positions also gives us some flexibility in the market.

Both these guys have had some good games in the past, but have also been 'pretty average' or below average plenty too
