MY THOUGHTS ARE ..SBW...... and before we all laugh..and say it wuill never happen I believe we are as good a chance as anyone.....

What will SBW command on the open market? My guess is 650k per...maybe less

Can we afford it ? Again I say yes and heres why.....

At present it is estimated we have 200k to spend and are waiting to sign a potential center...i say hold off this year..

next year we have coming off the books

Best 150k

All added up 750k? simple math...i may have missed something BUT we do have the funds to go get him and should..

With the proposed increased salary cap in 2013 with the new tv deal, I'd say go for it.

If we lost toops & worst but got SBW, our side would nearly be premiership favorites for 2013.

i dont think you can bank the 200k for the year after, so no deal...

500k should be the max offered to him

I would prefer more stablity in the centres, much like mentioned before Jack Reed would be an ideal centre choice if we could lure him with the coin we get from offloading Tupou next year

Agree 100% I would give him whatever he wants. Great on and off the field for us.

I hope our club never entertains the idea of buying SBW, he is over rated and not worth the bagage he carries with him

Buying big name players isnt the way to win comps ... Buying SBW is at best a stop gap or quick fix....Last few winner Manley dragons Melbourne Brisbane tigers all develop their own players.... The formula is pretty tried and tested in league.....
