In what has been a gut wrenching year at times, I have noticed a lot of fans on the open NRL forums really going to town on us. There are a number of labels we are being given but we do have some people who support other clubs who say that we are their second favourite team. A few times this year, I have become annoyed with people on here over trivial things so, the purpose of this thread is to have a light hearted look to find out what are some of the best sledges people have been given as a Sharks fan. Or the best Sledge you as a Sharks fan have ever given a supporter from another club.

My favourite came a few years ago, it's not original and it began when I was giving it to a mate of mine who supports Manly (silly I know). It began when I started giving it to him about about the Brett Stewart episode. He casually turned around and said, at least I know the phone number of the front office at the Sharks. I replied, 'Yeah what's that?' to which he said 101010 (won nothing, won nothing, won nothing)

Another, I remember was when I was 11 at a home game Vs North Sydney in 1980. We got away with a win late in the game and up to this point in the comp were going OK. I remember hurrying around the back of the grandstand to watch the players go back to the sheds behind the grandstand. Tommy Bishop was our coach and as he and the players were going past me when this North Sydney supporter, who was a pom, screamed at Tommy, 'You won't get away with another one Tommy Bishop." I went to a number of home games that year and the year after and I didn't experience a win from the boys. It just seemed like we were cursed every time I went. We bombed out before the Semi's and it just haunted me as a supporter for years.

If you have one

I like to measure past success on the number of premierships you have won. I like to present success on where you sit on the ladder. I like to measure future success on where we will be in 5 years time. fortunately, we will still be around in 5 years time. :)
Hopefully you won't be though.......

Sorry guys. Didn't mean to start this so that this idiot would come on. He basically embodies everything I hate about the Roosters. I just hope that they choke when it really matters.

Mate of mine who supports Tigers said to me that watching the Sharks is like masturbating with a cheese grater! Slightly amusing but mostly very painful !

I have a Dragons mate who constantly churns out the old chestnuts of our empty trophy cabinets and no premierships. Loves to joke about the NRL stripping us of all our premierships due to the drug saga. Oh wait... Yes, very funny...not. Problem is that he thinks its funny every time.

Fair play st George has won a few...steelers ojnthnother hand...not so much. St merge has only won one. Oh well..one day. And ours, when it comes, will be more precious and deserved than all the other clubs combined. The shire will explode.

I can imagine then, we will hear statements of "Well you've only won one... and how long did it take to get your first etc...." Things is, Sharkies fans wont give a toss, cause we finally got one!!

Sorry Hatch but I've had enough sledging from the outside to do me.

Try hopping on the school bus as a kid in Northern NSW when Manly have beaten the Sharkies in two grand finals.

I was the only Sharks supporter and gave and received many bruises in defence of our team ... probably gave a few more than I received ...

Thank Christ for that Amco Cup win. Love it!

Thresher, I've always been in the minority wher i live and copped it too. Thank God my best mate was a Sharks supporter as well as one of my sisters. It would've been a lonely life if they weren't.

In your head, rent free
whilst leaving the dragons game, me and my friend from WA were cheering loud and proud and the dragons started the "how many premierships have you won?"

as a sharks fan i have learnt to block that out, but friend from WA responded with "250 less than the amount of times you have ****ed your sister" they had no response, whilst 60 people lost their breath from laughter.

moral of the story, dont sledge us lol
