Sharks captain Paul Gallen believes his side need to learn plenty from their heart-breaking 20-18 loss to the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park on Monday.

Rather the loss now then in the finals... Get it out of the way and give them a bit of payback if we play them in the semis

I was very impressed with the teams performance given how long strength it was anyway. Yeah I know the Storm kept making mistakes but when I saw the team sheet I thought we were going to get towelled up.

I liked the interview w/ Andy Raymond straight after the game when he said along the lines to Gal about their big 3 are hard to contain & hold out, Gals reply was "we weren't really worried about them, we were more concerned about ourselves", me personally I like this, to me it lets the Storm or the big 3 know we aren't scared/intmidated of them, I know on paper they are a much better team than us but I wouldn't mind comne finals time if we have to play them.

With a bit of luck we will be at full strength, everyone talked about the Storm not being at their best, we weren't exactly on fire either, the Storm know that they will be in for hell of a game if we play them again.

Its games like this is why we aren't quite contenders just yet, good teams don't lose games from that position.

**** off, how many times do they need to blow a game before they "learn from it"?

There's only one ****ing side that features in the left column three ****ing times...and that's without the Roosters game they blew. Hell there's only three other teams that have blown it twice this year in the final minute, much less four ****ing times...

"King believes a lot comes down to the mental capacity of each team" No ****ing ****, maybe a certain someone should stop playing with a negative ****ing attitude and pump the **** up when the other team scores a late try.

We have showed them up twice this year but unfortunatly only got 2 points in one instance. Finals footy will be much tougher against the Storm as the best teams step up and they have vast experience being in the finals

I wish we could be on the other end of it for once. One of the only times wee have come out on top that i can remember after a close game is against the cowboys an beating them in golden point a couple years back.

Thurston missed a penalty from just about in front that would have won it for them...but, yeah, there hasn't been too many g/p wins for us.
