Shame Green will be going into the first test still recovering from injury.

He has the reputation for playing spin well but I wouldn't be selecting him on batting alone. Although I guess it will be valuable experience for him and thus valuable for the team in the long run.

This is where we find out if this team is legit.
Batting is a concern. We all know Warner is a dud overseas.

Head and Lasagne yet to prove themselves outside of Australia.

Nah has to be able to bowl to make the team.

Surely Agar can't play at any stage. How he was picked given his first class bowling average is over 40 is a joke.

First Test starts next Thursday. Pumped for this tour!
Same here mate. Great timing as well with a afternoon start. I think 3pm or 3.30pm our time.

I haven't been all that critical of Warner over the years but it's clear to see that he's at the end now and someone else deserves the chance to open with Uzzie. I think Renshaw is a much better cricketer now and could be the one in line to take over.

As I have said in a previous post, if Warner fails horribly in the first two tests then he should go. Not that it will happen though, he could probably get a duck in every Test and he'll still tour England.

I think Head and Marnus will go OK, a lot of pressure on Smith still so hopefully they can support him.

Not sure about the bowling, I am not sold on Agar, Swepson and even our part timers - only Nathan Lyon I can trust at the moment. Starc, Cummins and Hazlewood will find it very hard.

I am hoping for us to win the series but it will be very tough.

The mindset ofa T20 player is odd at times. Heat have this well under control needing less than 6 an over and one of them just gets out going for a huge shot. Just push it around.

Was umpiring my son's cricket tonight. A 7 year old bowling asked me if I had any sandpaper.

BBL was so much funner to watch when Waugh/Warne were commentators.

Ponting & Langer are too serious
