Please megashark, mike hussey is the worst one day player going around the world he is way to slow. People say he is the bevan type player that is a load of bullplop bevan was and will always be the best one day player ever.

Sharkiesfreak I am not normally a stats guru but I checked out CricInfo on this, and Bevan finished with a ODI strike rate of 74 while Hussey's is 89 so far (granted he hasn't played a whole lot of games yet, but his strike rate is still behind only Symonds and Gilchrist from the current side and is ahead of Ponting, Hayden and Michael Clarke among others).

You are not wrong Zak, I am yet to venture outside today and have taken the phone off the hook! But you know what they say, one day cricket is a funny game and it wouldn't surprise me to see the green and gold turn things around here in Auckland tomorrow.

granted that his strike rate is at 89 it is bound 2 drop to below 50 before the end of his career, he just aint an ODI player in my eyes his technique aginst the slow bowlers and the reversing ball is basically non existent, he hits and hopes unlike ponting who has the class of 3 husseys combined. The term Mr cricket is not suit for sum1 who started playing when they were 30 he is holding back younger players wanting to get into the team. Also hayden should be dropped for the WC as he is to unconsistent.

the mr cricket nickname has been with hus for a while...they call him that because he lives drinks eats cricket...like us...we are fanatical - obsessed etc etc with the sharks like he is cricket...the selectors were stupid to keep hussey out...before making it into the australian team he had scored over 10,000 first class runs...it was former chairman of selectors trevor hohns who kept hus out of the team

Hussey is alright in test but not ODI how the hell did he wind up with the captaincy anyways he doesnt deserve it.

well you have jus been chewed and spat out by hussey....he scored 105 off 87 ( i think it was 87 balls)..and he kept up a high strike rate from his first ball

Yeah what an unbelievable series that was, there are some pretty small grounds over here and finding the boundaries wasn't a problem for either side, the problem was finding a way to stop the boundaries. Both sides have obviously got plenty of work to do on their bowling before the World Cup, should be a great tournament though and I can't wait for it to get underway. Wouldn't want to pick a winner though, think I'll save that for the Sharks Forever tipping comp! :p

Hayden looks to be back in form, but I saw on the news that he finished his innings with an injury.
Anyone know what's wrong with him and if he'll be able to compete in the WC?

I wouldn't write off the host nation either, they were playing some pretty good cricket when they got to the final of the Champions Trophy earlier this season...besides it will probably be Lara's swansong I would say and they would want him to go out on a winner.

clarke?
no idea why they left him out and are persisting with watson.
personally i think the kiwis are playing out of there skins and are primed for a big world cup.they have a team of hitters that will do well on small grounds in the w.indies.their bowlers aren't shabby either.bond is a true champ, vetori is one of the few finger spinners in the world of international standard and they have rising stars in gillespe and franklin.
other than aussie my moneys on them to win the cup.

as far as we're traveling-no lee, ponting, symonds, gilly at the moment-we'll come back to form when they trickle back.remember that apart from sth africa there is scotland and the netherlands in our group.
if we cant beat those 2 we dont deserve the cup!

You can add Haydos to that list of injured players, he has a fractured big toe. I agree that Stuart Clark got dudded by the selectors, but personally I would rather keep Tait in there and get rid of Johnson, he has been very ordinary.
