Wade may have nearly let something slip…..

Last few minutes of the interview when talking about trade windows and his future.

Roosters offloading a few players Ronald Volkman and Freddy Lussick .
With Anasta Rooster as manager , not impossible to see Munster there 2024 OR Earlier

As someone said in the other forum ,
I sorta agree

Signing Munster would be the most Trent Robinson and Roosters thing ever. When they start to struggle, just buy everybody. Why develop players when you can just flog them from everyone else? Pathetic club

Yeah I'd hate to be a pathetic, successful club.

"Where, and IF I fit into the picture "
Also the comment about (or half comment) “Prepared to take less……”.
He had to catch himself and stop himself finishing that sentence.

Also (and to a lesser extent) in regards to a trade window, the moving of family interstate or “overseas”….
I’d imagine if you are going OS though a trade window wouldn’t make much difference either way.

Maybe I’m reading too much into some of the comments but I just thought they were interesting.

didn’t want to answer the question about the pay cut…. Far out, he has been playing far far below his pay packet for numerous years, when he has been able to get on the field.

Then he makes out he has the upcoming few rounds to place himself for a contract…

Surely the last few years should be more representative of his value……

Anyway the guy is a champ but I am really hoping we move on and he doesn’t reduce the minutes of others in the team which has been succeeding unless we see a massive improvement from him from the last few years of on field form….

I wasn’t having a dig.
I just thought it was interesting that he started to say he would but then caught himself and changed his response. Which was Fair enough.

Although if you are talking value for money as a lot of pps do, and have raised same with Moylan, Fifita etc, then has he beeen value for money over the past few seasons?
I’m not saying we shouldn’t resign him, I’m just noting his response.

When negotiating a contract you'd be mad to show your hand and say publically that you're willing to take less money. Even if you are prepared for a pay cut it gives you less room to bargain.

Wade was great today. Tucked the ball under his arm and ran and didn’t try to do anything fancy. Really contributed.

I mentioned a few weeks ago Wade needed to re-invent his style of play… he looked good today running it through the middle. I think that is where he could be most effective through the middle with an off load , taking to the line and distributing when it’s on…

Yeh spot on mate he can really come in handy when one of the halves get tackled late in the count. Takes a bit of pressure off.
