so you wouldn't sacrifice players who are behind him in the pecking order? you'd keep lesser players and allow him to go somewhere else? that's weird.

What Im saying is I wouldn't sacrifice 2 or 3 decent players to re-sign Graham. If we had to lose say Taufua and Taga to keep Wade but then signed 2 players that weren't of NRL standard to replace those two I think we'd be worse off.

i'd be happy to sacrifice quality of depth for Graham. Quality depth players are important, particularly when they're playing off the bench every week. But, the idea of depth, this whole array of dudes there to step in should one of your A team get injured, is merely a bandaid solution. they come in when they're needed, shafted when they aren't.

Wade on the other hand is a guy who will most likely be able to play an important role in the Sharks for many many years. He's one of the highest performing players every single week. I wouldn't hesitate shafting some so called "depth" in order to keep him. and in saying that, i doubt that Tags and Taufua would be the first to go so don't stress about that.

What I hope the club does:

- Lets Toopoo and Taga go freeing up around 450k.

- Then use that money to re-sign Wade for 325k, Taufua for 75k and use the remaining 50k on Cordoba. That way we keep 2 current performing first graders (Wade & Taufua) and leaves us with some experienced depth (Cordoba) that we know can get the job done when required.

Geeez, couldn't really blame him if he took that.

How the hell could they fit that in the cap?

The thing is I don't think Wade is worth 400k+ and I don't want the club to pay overs for him. The choice comes down to this, would you rather:

- Play in a side that is currently in form with a fanbase that loves you, with the bonus of playing with Jeremy Smith, Todd Carney and arguably the best player in the world in Paul Gallen.

OR

- Play in a side that is currently in ruins with a poor excuse for a coach with a fanbase that's on the edge of breaking point. Oh and they have Sandow...

Pretty easy choice if you ask me.

Huge gamble by them. parra love paying overs for players dont they. 600k for sandow, 400k+ offer for wade, then that hopoate coming from his missionary stint for some ridiculous offer and hayne would be on large money.

How on earth would they afford to have all these highly played players in the one side?

I reckon you'd nearly pay him 400k. As someone said 400k is the new 300k. But I'm sure bargaining can be done. You can sell sand to a ****in Egyptian if you want. If they want Wade to stay and can only offer him up to $400 then they will be able to convince him. Because life isn't just about money. Footy isn't either. He's young and that kind of salary is solid for anyone his age. He needs to be reminded that team culture is important. Pride in a club. Fan support. And urrrr WINNING GAMES. Good luck with any of that **** at Para. I think things really are in our favour if we want them to be

No what im saying he wont play 80 when him and gal are in the same side, purely because we wont take gal off, we wont take boogie off, and we gotta interchange players somehow, and might as well give the **** a break lol

Nothing would suprise me when it comes to Parramatta's recruitment department.

However my info from high up in another club that despite reports to contary, expressed mild interest, is his manager is seeking 275k. If Parra had offered 400k, I'd expect Wade would've accepted straight away.

The club i'd heard this from baulked at 275 as despite the fact we all know he has a lot of potential, he's now considered in the game a developing backrower, not a playmaker and backrowers grow on trees.

He's not going to stay if he stays on the bench. Not to mention, no club is gunna be happy to pay him 400K to warm the pine.

Gibbs
Degois
Gallen
Graham
Bakuya
Smith

Thats the best pack i can put together with our current side, let alone prospective side.

Taga is expendable, Toops hasnt really performed as a Shark. Had some good games, but also made plenty of crucial errors. Graham in his time here has had a shocker. He's made mistakes, but never been that shocking that he should be hooked. He is alot like a young Gallen IMO. Instead of beating round the bush putting him at 6, then 17, then centre, then the pack. Just put him in there now.

If Gallen can play prop for his State and be proud of it, he can ****in do it for his team also. He can make all the runs and tackles he wants in any position, but when he starts trying to get fancy, he ****s up. Leave that **** to people who can pass the ball

Im not ready to give up on Taga just yet, he needs more game time in a wide running role, not up the middle, he showed last year how devastating he can be. He's starting this week, lets see how he goes.
