Id like a new boat for Christmas, doesnt mean I am going to get one.

Comparisons to the Roosters are interesting. The thing with the Roosters is that after having a poor year they re-invented themselves. Brought in Brian Smith, brought in Carney to compliment Pearce and Anasta, Ryles, Hargraves etc, some young guns and played a new style. Same for the Bulldogs, you will see a big turn around from them next year with their recruitment to change and improve the way they play. Thats the thing about these clubs. They wont tolerate poor seasons. They will change and take the team in a new direction.

As for us after two poor years?? Will we see the same turn around. I doubt it. Not enough has changed IMO. Backs arnt much different and halves are a big problem. I still see the same style being played, based around our props and off loads from the back rowers. I dont see Flanagan being that different Stuart.

But Sam look at the turmoil we've had. We have had to rebuild and start from scratch in every aspect. Administration, players, coach. No other club has had the cards dealt like the ones we've had, least of all the clubs you mentioned. This isnot going to be a quick fix. Mate we were on the brink. Surely you must see the light over there in the distance. I know I do and I was a sceptic. It has always been said that 2013 was going to be the year when the club would be back. To me that sounds a very realistic and acheiveable goal.

How many regular season games do you realistically see the Sharks losing next year?

:cheers

Don't bother trying to reason with Stanshark - he's a perpetual pessimist that has nothing positive to contribute to this forum.

Samshark actually makes me laugh... I always imagine him as some depressive Coach of a junior side giving a monotone pre-game rev-up speech to a team about to run out onto the field.

You know... with harsh critical observations of their abilities, inadequacies, failings, "realisms" and all that.

"... ok you're probably not going to win... in fact, you'll probably get smashed because they're so much better than you... and they're probably going to hurt you a lot too... you might want to win but that's unlikely... because you suck and you disappoint me and you don't live up to my expectations... so go out there and play your best and I'll see you at halftime to say "I told you so" and by the way did anyone else bring the oranges because I certainly didn't want to waste my time doing that... anyway, off you go..."

Maybe "Glumshark" might be a better name.
