All such statements bear ideological and ethical credence by the obtusely abstract definitions contained within.

Much like a zen koan, the question or statement is not asked or proffered to elicit a pre-conceived response but postulated to enabled the receiver to dwell on the question and the resolution process itself.

In essence, the process and method of the question or statement being asked holds greater authority than the the actual question or statement given.

In this case, who should be defined as the "all" and whom should we likewise describe as the the "one" could be perhaps the intended purpose.

Perhaps.

One of my kids noticed the Haka one day and started their own version:

'Cu-cumber cu-cumber cap-si-cum'.

I morphed it in to 'Unus pro omnibus, omnibus pro uno', and it is not uncommon to see me and my brood trailing eachother in public repeating this chant accompanied with improvisational dance.

My brood and the viewing public may not 'get it', but I know that actions speak louder than words, and when my kids are old enough to understand the meaning of the words, they'll already have a deep and embedded understanding of 'one'.

If anyone else picks up anything along the way then I spose that's a bonus.

Good Buzz, family life is a hoot mate and having a son that towers over every other toddler at childcare and the one that all the girls want to hang with makes me a very proud dad and maybe a bit jealous as well.

I will attempt to interpret for you. (My comments are in italics)

Fitz stated the following;

All such statements bear ideological and ethical credence by the obtusely abstract definitions contained within.

The aforementioned statement contributed by Buz "Unus Pro Omnibus, Omnes Pro Uno", contains an idea and ethic of moral philosophy, which cleverly hides its meaning through use of Latin.

Much like a zen koan, the question or statement is not asked or proffered to elicit a pre-conceived response but postulated to enabled the receiver to dwell on the question and the resolution process itself.

"Koan" is the western practice used to breakdown the barriers to enlightenment in relation to Zen Buddhism, therefore what Fitz suggests, is that the aforementioned statement "Unus Pro Omnibus, Omnes Pro Uno"has not been made to seek a planned response, but rather to provoke some deep thought on the part of the reader to define it's meaning.

In essence, the process and method of the question or statement being asked holds greater authority than the the actual question or statement given.

Basically, the use of the Latin "Unus Pro Omnibus, Omnes Pro Uno" and the posting of it in this thread, is significant in that it causes the reader to question it's meaning, not only in words, but also in relation to how the statement impacts upon the reader in their own beliefs and actions.

In this case, who should be defined as the "all" and whom should we likewise describe as the the "one" could be perhaps the intended purpose.

In the meaning of the Latin phrase "Unus Pro Omnibus, Omnes Pro Uno" The interpretation finds the words "all" and "one", therefore Fitz questioned who should in fact be defined as the "all" and likewise therefore the "one", could indeed be the intended purpose of posting the phrase "Unus Pro Omnibus, Omnes Pro Uno".

My interpretation of this is:

My kids are smarter than you Greg Bird

Apologies - Let me 'Aussie it down'

One for all, all for one

It's actually a motto more than anything else, and the fuddlyduds like their motto's in Latin.

Ain't that the biz!
