Leipzig losing to Brugge at home was a shock as well

That is a shock. Pity its been overshadowed by the biggest upset in Champions League history.

Speaking of Club Brugge, I wonder if that Dutch Eredivise and Belgian Pro League merger is still going ahead. I heard the two countries want to merge their football pyramids to compete better with the bigger leagues.

Was it ever.
Thought they were hard done by with the penalty, but don't watch enough to know if that's okay for the course or not.

Great comeback! But I’m not losing sight on how **** they were in the first half. Look at the kind of football they played in the second half! I’m just sitting there like “Ole….. do….do that……. just do that all of the time! Why do we need to be two goals down for you to do that?!”

Ultimately this win might just be papering over the cracks before our inevitable arse raping by Liverpool on the weekend, but I might as well enjoy the goals in the meantime.

It will be tough, they beat Bayern to get there. However all things considered we should have enough about us to get the job done

Liverpool had a lot more chances but couldnt find a way past Coutoris. Real Madrid are definitely worthy winners. No treble for Liverpool, a bit of an “almost” year for them, taking a domestic cup double but just not quite good enough to win the two big trophies. Will be interesting to see if they can close that tiny gap next season, especially with City and Real strengthening their squads quite significantly.

Dont count on it, city are spending big on Haaland whilst we are replacing Mane with a kid from Fulham.
City turning this into Ligue 1 real quick.

If we can sign Darwin Nunez I’ll be happy. However you’re right, EPL would be equivalent to Ligue 1, Bundesliga if it wasn’t for Klopp. He is the only reason we are close to City. Not sure how sustainable it is long term considering we’ve had four 90+ seasons already for one title and they’ve just signed Haaland

Nunez is a 6’2 lump. Klopp wont play him otherwise he would have kept Benteke

Christopher Nkunku is the better option
Nunez is a brilliant finisher but lacks a lot of fundamentals, especially if you want to play possession based football. I’ll back him if we get him, but he needs a **** tonne of work on some of the basics.
