Of those who went to the game what are your thoughts on the ground?

Viewing is much further back from the ET stand & I felt the lighting was poor when it got darker, any one else noticed it was quite dark on the field to other grounds?

Yes the viewing is further back, not as close as Shark Park.

I did think the lighting was poor too. At one stage I didn’t think they were going to put them on.

Bloody hell grow up mate.

Nearly midnight here .
Look I know you're a VERY passionate Shark's supporter and I am way out of line , but I've bit my tongue for a LONG time , with Captain Obvious or uninformed posts .
I know you mean well , but feels like you're like the Chad Townsend of Forum Posters.
SORRY , for being so harsh and will take my 2 weeks forced leave for being impatient and totally frustrated.
I will now cop my own negative traits , fired back at me .
I suppose the main thing is that OUR team does well , whatever individual posters ( like me ) think .

I actually don’t understand what this argument is at all haha
This is confusing me more than Spanner lashing out at my horse/dick joke last night

ran half lights to save power bill ?

We've been penalised/ forced by the NRL to run below our "Power cap" due to power cap breaches.
The reduced wattage we are forced to save on will be allocated to the Roosters at their night games!

This was my first visit there and thought it's not a bad stadium. Curious to how the bar lines will cope unless they put in more temporary ones around the place. Elevated view from the top is decent, but if you're on the other side of the field will you be able to see the screen? Is there a second one ?

Post and pre game food and drinks are pretty lacking. The Royal hotel is pretty fricken average but fine for a few I suppose. Obviously we don't want to give the Dragons leagues club any of our hard earned.

For me personally getting there is much easier, so that's a bonus.

In your head, rent free
i binged watched the trial after soccer, from what i saw rudolf is a must for the bench, can cover prop, lock and has the agility, lateral movement and speed to fill in at backrow if wade or nikora get injured/hia/hooked ect

i like royce hunt and what he showed but he is pretty one dimensional, runs hard and straight but that is the easiest person to defend, has no footwork or much of an offload, that said, i would sign him up. franklin pele as well, he is a big boy with a great motor

jack williams looks like he will be the 13 and i am ok with that, still seen nothing from billy to suggest he will start or be on the bench, its a big step up from nsw cup to first grade

fifita looked to move a little better than last year, thank god he took time off in the off season, liked what i saw from woods as well

teig wilton got a bit of time and has a nice offload, he will be first cab off the rank for wade/briton if we know they will miss games, i like this boy a lot

backs are what we expect, katoa looks bigger and stronhger, morris is the ultimate pro, ramien is a handful, ferris looked comfortable

will kennedy just needs a chance, if the boys are still injured he is my number 1 and ronnie in for ferris as he should be ok

but the stand out, connor tracey - this guy just oozes class. what a signing by morris to get him back. would get a crack at 6/7 at a few clubs but will make his way onto our bench and hopefully into our starting line up. sj and chad will need to be on their toes, hell, even brailey will, even though he looked good yesterday

all in all, it was exactly what a trial was meant to be used for, give the main guys a run, give the young blokes a chance and figure out your bench

impressed with our youth, there wont be many down seasons for us if we can keep this group together. foundations are there to contend again once we sort this cap mess out

Just how tall is he? I couldn't find height and weight anywhere.

Not sure on height but he's got to be 115kgs plus, potentially more but he's trimmed down alot in the off season. Last year would have been 125+ imo.

Fact he played a few minutes in the NRL trial but also played in the Flegg squad is a good sign. Thought he would have played for the Jets but maybe the earlier Flegg kick off made it easier logistically.

Needs to play for the Jets this year.

Thanks, was interested in his defence, but wasn't really on long enough. Watched SG Ball Sat, there was a kid in there off the bench for Parra, had to be 6ft 5'. Insane at 17 yo.

Happy for our 4th/5th prop spot to just be a hard straight runner. Especially with cap situation. Can be simple to defend but not always easy - can be good for fast play the balls or try get him one in one with a half.
I think he’s got a couple offloads away across the trials too.

Pele need him in a 2020 development 21/22 top 30 contract or something to hold onto him until the roster spot is available

The performance in this trial was a credit to the coach. All of the new blokes, or newish, played very well and look ready to go for the season. Good energy, confidence and belief. And some combinations showing already.

Morris has done very well to get them all looking like first graders, to this point anyway.

Bring on round one.
