Slot in Shelford at 5/8th and Peachey at lock, ellaz in the 2nd row probably?

I like us in this one, strongest 20s lineup we've had I reckon and the storm losing several of their team from last year. Gardner/Townsend/Carter look good to me.

What about Matty Wright at 5/8 he wasn't named in the NSW cup team. Unless he has an injury?

Well spotted... perhaps he'll play 5/8th in the NSW cup and McGrady will drop back to the 20s..

well, if you've gotta spare couple of bucks, get the big league magazine, its got NRL, NYC, reserve grade, QLD cup and tons of line ups, i personnaly think its better than, RLW, i only buy the RLWs with: players poll, sharks poster inside, premiers, new year edition

NYC and NSW Cup Teams Named
11/03/2010 11:36:47 AM

The NRL isn't the only rugby league competition to kick off this weekend with the NYC and NSW Cup set to play their opening round matches.

Having named very strong teams, NYC coach Joey Grima and NSW Cup coach Tony Herman, remain positive about the respective matches.

WIth very few injuries in first grade, the NSW Cup side will have stars like Reece Williams, Siosaia Vave, Stuart Flanagan and Broderick Wright run out for them against the Auckland Vulcans this Sunday.

The Toyota Cup side will also field a quality team with Nathan Gardner, Kyle O'Donnell and Matthew Wright all featuring in their clash against the Storm on Saturday evening before the NRL match.

"All the boys are very excited about starting this weekend," NYC Coach Joey Grima said.

"Like all other teams, it's been a very long off season for us and to open our season against the 2009 Premiers as well will give us a gauge of where we are at."

"On last years performance some teams may not show us any respect, but that will be up to us to change that view."

Entering its third season in 2010, the Toyota Cup has surpassed all expectations to establish itself as the nation’s pre-eminent junior competition, successfully combining an elite Rugby League development program with a commitment to education and workplace training opportunities unprecedented in Australian sport.

Such has been the success of the Toyota Cup, NRL clubs have committed to the under-20 age limit for a further two seasons, Toyota has extended its naming-rights sponsorship and Fox Sports has committed to a multi-million dollar broadcast deal that runs through to the end of the 2012 season.

“The excitement around the start of the Telstra Premiership has been amazing and it is the Toyota Cup that will start it all tomorrow night,” NRL Chief Executive, Mr David Gallop, said.

“We have enjoyed plenty of exciting football over the past two seasons but the strength of the Toyota Cup is that it is more than an elite on-field competition.

“The Toyota Cup showcases how Rugby League is successfully expanding from within and how the game provides a pathway for local kids to become local heroes.”

FFS, get Matty Wright out of 5/8. Also interesting to see Frizzel in at 2nd row. For mine he is more of a centre/lock. And yes before anyone says something, I have seen him in action.

Wright can play 5/8 and how..his utility down the track will be great for first grade

hes one of those players who is gunna be screwed by the utility tag and we will barely see him this year before he moves on.

I agree with Peach  :D ;) - I think Matty Wright has a great future at the club and will play plenty of first grade this season.

Playing some more 5/8th will be good for him, vision and skills wise. A lot of the best centres spent time in the halves at some stage.
