don't know any signings made in the 70'2 80's or 90's. pretty went from 2000.

what would your top 10 be?
Fair enough mate but how on earth could you have Thompson and Kearney ahead of Lewis and Maloney?

I thought that was the case. There were plenty of good ones before that that are worth mentioning.

Tommy Bishop for one. He was the one that took us from a small little club to a premiership threat. Him and Cliffy Watson went hand in hand.
Other ones I would mention would be:

Gavin Miller: Was our leader and playmaker for many years. No comp of course but he led us to victory many times and took us into semi finals.
Roger Millward: Another pommy that came to us. Had a limited time so wouldn't have him in the top ten but he certainly helped make us stronger.
Sorenson Brothers: Dane and Kurt were powerhouses. NZ boys with big frames and big hearts. Dane would take the ball up all day (he'd never pass it though) and would tackle himself to a standstill. Kurt was more explosive and a great tackle buster.
Steve Hansard: Again not a top ten signing but a good solid number 7 who took us to a grand final.

There are heaps others but I just don't have the time right now to put them down. I'll keep thinking.

my step father played with kurt sorrensen at widness over in the super league.

reckons he was one of the toughest players he played with. one of the stories he mentioned to me is that he played with a broken jaw for about 4 weeks straight without even knowing it was broken.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Yep. Even if you never saw him play, which i didn't, should still be aware of the club's history.

If you're a Sharks fan and you don't know who Tommy Bishop was, well....

I can say I am old enough to see him play and I did. Saw him tear Souths apart one night at Redfern Oval in 1972 or 1973.
Also got his autograph (which I have stupidly lost) at a signing session at the old Miranda Fair and the autograph of the whole 1973 GF team.
