Official Toby Rudolf

Like Fitz said about AFB in the presser. "You can go on about numbers by they are just numbers. Show me where he isn't moving".

Same for Oregon, Toby, and everyone else. They all make lots of great effort plays. They wouldn't be picked in the NRL if they didn't.

Best Toby example is this game in 2023. His second stint is 17 minutes. Sharks barely touch the ball during that time but he makes 2-3 great effort plays to save tries. Sharks got pumped though, and Toby didn't get metres so the forum said he was fat and lazy.

@Sir Chadley I can't recall the one you are referring to for Oggy.

Bit like people whinging about AFB's first stint in Origin. Hard to run when your teammates keep making mistakes so you're defending most of the time.

Yeah that was what Fitz was referring to.

It has become whack-a-mole with AFB. If he takes a shitload of runs the fans/journos jump on the other prop for being lazy. If AFB takes less carries but more tip-ons and support lines the fans/journos jump on AFB for not having enough metres.

Wanted to give Toby a shoutout for a few big effort plays on the weekend. Played almost 30 mins in his first stint which is much more than what I would have expected from him.

Once past that 20 minute mark guaranteed error you may as well keep him on, he’s error proof then.

*points past tryline*

Was against Canberra earlier in the year from memory, got across and knocked a dangerous grubber dead

Appreciate & agree with what you are saying .

I vividly remember a game saving tackle he made in Perth last year against Manly .

But I would still love to see the occasional offload from him close to the line .
