Its a pretty big statement to make isnt it.

But what is funny is how much they are raping their own supporters also.

It says in the article something bout 10,000 members, which is triple what it was a few seasons ago, yet when you see a home game for the Tigers its ****ing packed. So now they are thinking, hmmmm if we make the other 18,000 people pay 65 bucks to enter, we will make bank. Wont last.

I hope we win now, just to make him look like a goose

Can we force him to move out to where his team play please? Wherever that is. Instead of sharkies territory.

Seems like I'm in the minority... I reckon its a cracking idea. Kudos to the Tigers.

Since when was this about clubs being nice to each other? If they reckon they can sell it out to Tigers fans, then good luck to them. The risk is that come ten years time when they don't have Sheens, Farah or Marshall and are struggling to get people through the gates, they wouldn't want to have to break down a legacy of opposition fans not showing to Tigers games. Could make it a hard sell.

But the upside is massive. Creating a special day for Members, an amazing and hugely advantageous atmosphere for the team in Round 1, and most importantly getting the contact details of a whole heap of non-Members and inducting them in to a culture of Membership. Priceless. They're essentially offering their equivalent of a 'Sharks Net' Membership with one ticket thrown in. For the upside, its more than worth it.

We should do it for the Dragons game if its on a Sunday arvo.

Lets do a hypothetical.

Lets say Leichhardt sells out exclusively with Tigers members (which it won't).

How brilliant would it be to set up a bigscreen at Shark Park and invite all Sharks fans free of charge and have a massive BBQ and fundraiser/membership drive. We will also invite Magpie fans.

Good idea.

That is sheer genius Addy.

I am already trying to round up a group of people to watch the game at the Leagues Club but having it at Toyota Stadium would be a brilliant idea.

I hope the club looks at that idea.

If there any reason they couldnt do that every week? How good would it be to have the Sharks playing home or away with a home crowd. BYO food, drinks available there (obviously wouldnt be able to bring ya own grog). Picnic style seating on the ground, big screen at 1 end. Family night for sure.

Correct me if I am wrong, but arent the gate takings distributed to both teams in a sold out scenario? One would think that the draw card for selling out an entire ground would be the competition between two great teams, so shouldnt the takings be distributed evenly. If so let them sell it out. If our boys are tough enough mentally, it shouldnt matter whether they are being booed or cheered. Maybe we should offer a similar arrangement to entice more members so that the next time we face the Tigers, we sell Shark Park out to Sharks supporters only.

Im not confident that would happen
