As I said, I can't stand the West's Tigers as a concept. I have hated them from the day I found one of their employees set up in Engadine Shopping Centre selling Wests Tigers memberships.:rant

At least I'm not the only one that hates them.

Those ****ing gloryhunters were nowhere to be seen before the 2005 Grand Final now they're everywhere like blowflies at a butchers picnic.

I am sick of the tugfest most people have over Benji Marshall as well.

Yeah, like I said, I don't really care that much about the actual players or even their supporters. I just hate the way the Club is run and the way they are actively seeking to wipe out any trace of the Magpies, whilst taking full advantage of their juniors and the fans in the Campbelltown area.

This is still possible

As Drunkdazz mentioned before the CSSC have secured tickets if your keen to come with us on a pub crawl!!

I think I may have to take up that option lol just that my nephews are mad tigers fans (i know i know I wasnt very good at convincing them otherwise lol) and was really looking forward to taking them to the game, just hope that they do end up releasing tickets to the general public

Looks like they'll be selling tickets to Sharks members guys, check the Sharks website. If you're not a Sharks member stop being a gronk and sign up.

Lets do a hypothetical.

Lets say Leichhardt sells out exclusively with Tigers members (which it won't).

How brilliant would it be to set up a bigscreen at Shark Park and invite all Sharks fans free of charge and have a massive BBQ and fundraiser/membership drive. We will also invite Magpie fans.

I think its a 'good' move in a way for NRL. Maybe not for the Sharks in this instance, but look at it this way.
Every year we have the know it alls claim Sydney has too many teams, and the comp is congested and an away game in sydney isnt an away game cos its so close. All of a sudden creating that home/away barrier is what is needed. Same if the Sharks did it, get the crowd 10:1 home fans, it makes a home game a home game. Not a home game where your still outnumbered by opposition colours.

If this is going to force more people to become members of their respective clubs then it's a positive for your club and the game.

i agree with the concept but question the fact that there should be a small amount of tickets for away supporters. like the epl as someone already mentioned

true to an extent. But then what happens when every club takes this approach? Basically all people attending these games have to then be a member of a club. I think thats a joke.

While the lop sided crowded is good for rugby league as it creates that hostile environment for away teams. Those who are league fans that may wanna go to a game or 2 in a season, now either have to be a member for a team, or not go. While its good to support your favourite team, not everyone is going to sign up and put money into it, when they are struggling for coin already. GA tickets open to the public should be available, if only a limited amount.

I believe Members (both home and away teams) should have priority admission over non-members.

I do not believe that I should be forced to become a Member of another Club to see my team play.

Also, I think that Wests Tigers boss Stephen Humphreys comments are disgraceful.

''They'll have to watch it on Foxtel or Channel Nine.''

''I do think we are approaching that day when Leichhardt games are members only, which would be great for Wests Tigers but not so good for opposing fans,''

''At some point I would expect that we would have members-only fixtures at all our Leichhardt and Campbelltown games.Whether this one does or not … we are still building towards that but I think that day will certainly come as our membership grows. This game will certainly go close, at least.''
