Iron Shark, in the EPL away teams are always allocated a certain amount of tickets. The NFL has a certain amounnt General Admission tickets released a few days before the game with a first in best dressed rule.

There is an implied responsibility of any home team to "host" away supporters. It is simply unsporting and unethical to "lock out" away supporters. There are two teams on the field, and despite the popularity of the home team, the away team deserve some support. Its been that way around the world since day dot. Even at venues in the U.K and the U.S where they sell out years in advance, there is an option for a small number of away supporters. It is also unethical to force someone who is more than likely to be a member of another club to purchase a membership of that club to get a ticket.

Thanks for that guys, I think that is the only fair way to do it. The Club must keep a certain amount of seats open for "general admission". Then it's first in, best dressed. It ruins the atmosphere to have no opposition supporters at a game. As much as I like the idea of having a sold out Shark Park with exclusively Sharks fans, it wouldn't be the same.

(Plus, I would have no-one to heckle with my "Na-na-na-na - GOODBYE!" dance when we win!):p

Correct me if I am wrong, but arent the gate takings distributed to both teams in a sold out scenario? One would think that the draw card for selling out an entire ground would be the competition between two great teams, so shouldnt the takings be distributed evenly. If so let them sell it out. If our boys are tough enough mentally, it shouldnt matter whether they are being booed or cheered. Maybe we should offer a similar arrangement to entice more members so that the next time we face the Tigers, we sell Shark Park out to Sharks supporters only.

ROFL I never thought of that.

If they don't allow Sharks fans in, and it's a sold out Wests Tigers day, how epic would it be if we put on a clinic? Like what we did Round 3 last year against the Panthers.

That would be the best thing ever. It would more than make up for it!

They risk that dont they. Could you imagine how bad they would look, getting pumped infront of 20,000 of there own supporters hahaha.

So much pressure put on them already in Round 1

imagine the crowd silence after B.Gibbs gives B.Marshall a massive coat hanger in the first tackle.

Hey all,

I'm not sure if you are all aware, but The CSSC have secured 100 tickets to this game, and an extra more to add to that. They are going fast, and if you do want to goto this game, this could be your best chance.

More info, email: contact@cronullasupporters.com

according to Austadiums, Leichardt has a capacity of 20,000 and the ground record is about 22,000 (wests v souths 2005)

I'd be surprised if they manage to sell that many "memberships" for this game. I think they had about 10,000 in total last year? From that base number, I doubt that even all of those previous members would be attending this game. And I'm not sure that the casual fan would be prepared to spend $65 on a soggy grass hill and an unfashionable hat. Particularly if they have kids.

I believe that the Tigers are well within their rights to play this game at Leichhardt & charge the $65 bucks. No different to Sharks being told to play a home semi @ SFS, we'd tell them to jam it too.

I could not be bothered standing on the hill looking into the sun for 4 hours, not being able to get a drink, ques etc, hence a GA ticket does not apeal to us. I went to the Saints Parra semi @ Kogarah a couple of years ago. Had a reserved seat in the back corner, bad view, ques for everything, light beer only, I took off 20 mins before the game & was at my comfy local club before kick-off. Never again.

Having said all that, had this game been at the SFS, (scheduled or not), I would have been there with a crew of 6-10 who will not be @ Leichhardt.

Nice however for the Sharks to be in a game that should be a sell-out.

I am extremely disappointed by this, I had flights booked and everything to come down for this game as my family is a mix of Sharks & Tigers supporters and we were going to make a day out of it, but I guess thats not possible now.....

Actually all Sharks finals from now on will be at the SFS. Also if they were at Toyota we would have plenty of tickets available for the other teams fans.

I'm sure there will still be tickets, and probably released fairly soon.

For one thing, I imagine Phil Rothfield will launch an all-out "big grounds for big games" campaign against the Tigers if this happened to sell out beforehand.

It's just their attitude, that they will stuff everyone around just for a few more $ and to boost their membership numbers.

As I said, I can't stand the West's Tigers as a concept. I have hated them from the day I found one of their employees set up in Engadine Shopping Centre selling Wests Tigers memberships.:rant
