There is a few ex-Sharks NYC boys in the Jets squad.

It will be interesting to see how they've come on as footballers.

This will answer that,

Cronulla Sharks Vs Newtown Jets
Toyota Stadium, Saturday, March 17
Kick-off: 3.00pm
Referee: Michael Laverty

Summary: Storm utility Maurice Blair is not expected to travel up to Toyota Stadium on Saturday with Tyrone Peachey, who played plenty of five-eight in the NYC, his likely replacement in the number six jersey. Jon Green is also expected to play his first game for the Sharks in the VB NSW Cup after he was a late omission from last weekend’s team because of a call up to the NRL. Newtown has received a boost with the return of Tom Symonds and the addition of Peni Tagive and they will match up against the Sharks’ NRL experienced centre pairing of Ricky Leutele and Will Chambers. The Jets lose a bit of power up front with Josh Ailaomai injured in last weekend’s loss to Newcastle. Ailaomai’s injured knee is expected to keep him out of the VB NSW Cup for 4-6 weeks. There are mouth-watering matchups across the park for punters heading out to Toyota Stadium to watch the three-match program which includes Harold Matthews and SG Ball games.

Talking Point: A man amongst men – This match will mark the VB NSW Cup debut of young Tohu Harris. Harris was a 2011 Junior Kiwis squad member who has massive wraps on him emanating from the south and after two full seasons plus the first two games of 2012 in the NYC, Coach Craig Bellamy has finally decided to throw him in the deep end. Physically speaking, Harris stands at well over six foot and tips the scales at near enough to 110kg so he is more than equipped to mix it with the big boys in the Cup however a strong showing here against the likes of Takairangi, Bosden and Deeb could fast track this prodigious talent to the elite level sooner rather than later.

Lost 22-4. Sharks scored last.
They were terrible. Zero attack & worse kicking options on the last you have ever seen. Wright seemed to play 5/8. His kicking game is hopeless. Chad's not much better. Newtown simply awarded 20m tap after tap.
Feki probably made the most hit-ups. Very few Cronulla breaks at all.
1st Jets try after 8 mins against the run of play. Their sub half (Mitchell) had a good game to score after 20 for 10 zip half time. Thought we'd get our act together but not to be. Newtown defended great but sharks gave themselves few options & never looked dangerous.
Based on today's performances, I would not promote any of them. Jon Green little impact. Wright will be there for sometime, Chad plays with the frustrated *****s.

Lost Blair & Robo from the first 2 weeks, yet still should have the cattle for a better perfomane than that. All Cronulla's coaching staff there & I'm sure they would also be unimpressed.

Tohu Harris looked like a star for a young player on debut, can draw and pass better than all our centres. Shame he is storm.

Hopefully Robson was the difference

A superstar in the making. Enormous man. Would love the Club to sign him if it were possible.
