After growing up in Griffith in NSW and then later moving to Melbourne I just wanted to draw your attention to some of the areas across the country which are flooded at the moment. Some of these areas are also at high risks of Further flooding. Griffith is one of these Areas and i still have a lot of family and friends living in and around Griffith and am simply asking that some of you guys keep the people of these areas in your thoughts and prayers.

Some of these Areas include Leeton, Yoogali, Hanwood, Yenda, Forbes, Wagga and many more. Some of which are areas close by to where Cronulla Sharks Players players such as Andrew Fifita, Jeff Robson and former NSW Cup player Kose Lei Lei have spent large portions of their lives.

Here is some links to some of the pictures and videos from the area

I just got back from being down there all week (working).

Some of the smaller towns are still under water, the locals are very friendly and considering what they are going through at the moment their spirits are still high. It's not untill you talk to some you can see and feel there pain, I had a few break down while I was talking to them which was very hard to take in. But over all the community spirit is strong.

The residence don't know whats happening and neither does anyone else due to way the water is moving around. Griffith is very flat, so beside the creeks and rivers all the crops have large irrigation channels around them which are filling up sending the water everywhere at a very slow pace.

Just spoke to a fellow worker who is still down there and a couple of small towns have been able to return.

As the floods move further inland towards Hay more town's will be effected and it make take some time as the waters are moving very slowly.

Prayers and thoughts to all the residence of the Riverina area and other flood effected ares .

Cheers
