While the talk in here is that the game has passed Tommy by, it seems others think he's good enough for Origin one day.

Tommy has a bit of the Kaufusi complex going on this season. Many only want to see what happens with the ball. His work rate off it has been very strong, but this doesn't factor in quite so much.While the talk in here is that the game has passed Tommy by, it seems others think he's good enough for Origin one day.

I still think there's a world where we can benefit from a smaller bench overall, but that doesn't mean Tommy has to miss out.
Yep I think you carry less real big guys, but not none. Tommy just needs to work on some stuff like trying to burst back to his feet off the ground more.

yes apart from the bad missed tackle on Paseka when he was fresh on, great game.
He also got destroyed by Brooks on the outside
But it’s a bit easier to forgive a prop being burnt for pace than just being easily clean beat by another prop with a simple hit and spin.

On the “going down easy” thing… you have to understand that in a lot of situations the defence would rather concede another few metres than let a player find his front quickly.
Concede a few extra metres but it takes an extra 3 seconds for the player to get to ground = more time for the defence to get set.
Player makes a few less metres but is able to find his front 3 seconds earlier = less time for the defence to get set.
