As far as his skillset goes he is exactly what you want in a young forward. His work rate is insane. He will play the whole game, take 30 hit-ups, make 50 tackles and still be the first guy to put his hand up for the next carry. I've seen an article which compares him to Isaah Yeo, but that's a bit of a weak comparison. He does do a lot of tip-on plays and is developing his passing game, but I wouldn't describe him as a "ballplaying lock" and he doesn't ball play at the line often. It's more just that he can do that passing role if his coach needs him to - like McInnes can for the Sharks or Hosking can for the Jets. It's a feature of his game but not necessarily a defining feature. Also - even though he's not huge he is built like a tank and quick for a middle. He's aggressive in defence and he wins contact on both sides of the ball.
For NRL comparisons I would say a combination of Jack Williams and peak Jack de Belin. High energy like JW with the square JdB body and a passing game. A young Gallen is also a fair comparison in terms of body shape and work rate, though Gal was an edge player back then and the game has changed a lot since 2001. Gal debuted just before his 20th birthday and was an NRL regular in his turning 21 season. I could see Dellow following his path in that regard.
The SG Ball team was pretty ordinary this season. The work rate was there for Dellow but overall the forwards struggled and their hookers and halves weren't great - so watching SG Ball games in isolation he wasn't that impressive. It's a completely different story in Flegg. The halves and hooker in that team are organized and the rest of the forward pack excel in their roles, so Dellow slots in perfectly and was one of the best players on the weekend just gone (round 6).
