The finals system is great though, I just don't think you understand it very well.

I understand it, that's why I understand it's pretty ordinary.
There are better alternative systems which don't put a teams fate directly in the hands of other teams/results.
The Warriors almost could have put their feet up in their first game, oh wait they pretty much did.
