Honest question.

Is Best better then Ramien? Thoughts?
I don't think so. Of all positions, outside back is the last place I would be looking to recruit. We've just re-signed Sifa and Jesse. We have Connor and Iro to come in at centre, or even Ronnie in a pinch with Stonestreet coming on the wing.

Next year we will have Dykes back and I am not against playing him a year in the centres while Moylan plays out his contract. Kade is big enough (187cm), and would be valuable experience for him. (this is if all other options aren't available).

Need to buy another good backrower to keep Tieg on his toes. Three errors in each of the last three weeks is too much for a backrower.

Agree we need some backrow depth will Graham likely not being here next year especially. And yes i feel we have plenty of depth in the backline at this stage. Iro, Hiroti, Stonestreet, Tracey, Dykes. More than enough.

Would love us to sign Frizzell to play off the bench. Exactly what we need (with whose off contract).

Honest question.

On his day and @ peak form not many centres are at Ramien's level, he can be an outright weapon

At one point last season Ramien was prob one of the best centres in the game

Jesse is frustrating but the upside is so big

Perhaps Best will eclipse him over the course of his career but it's still early days for both players and with both Jesse and Sifa signed and already familiar with our systems there is no way either player is being replaced any time soon

So even if you could replace Ramien right now with Best there is an opportunity cost in that you might miss out on a period of time when Jesse finds his peak form again and that would be a shame to not have the Sharks being the benefactor of that.

Jesse is 26, arguably an ideal age for an outside back in terms of having a mix of experience, strength and youth (as in he isn't slowing down yet).

We have stuck by Jesse and I think there is still benefits to reap from that over the next couple of years.

Best is like 21 years old he gunna have some rough seasons as well and patches of inconsistency

Could definitely see Best moving to the back row, still only young and will get a tad bigger still. Fitz likes making our meters on the edge along and more skilful players not pigeon holed in 1 position. All depends on how much and what’s going on with Wilton.
IMO if Wilton isn’t finalised by RD18 he isn’t staying.
