Guler re-signs with the Raiders. So JWH (unofficially), NAS and him all re-signed. I think we're stuck with what we have for a few years.

What about that Jayden Sua, sort of a Jeremy Smith type, could be worth a look. But guess he goes nth
Always thought he did a disservice to himself by going to the Dragons, looks like he's held back.

Could see him develop well with us.

I personally think we are fine at second row for starters but need some depth there, def a bloke worth a chat to assess his interest and price still though. Not worth overspending but if he didn't want to move but wanted a club upgrade maybe we would be of interest at a good price. He would also need to be able to play left as I wouldn't move/drop Nikora for him. I think he has played both sides though?

As critical as I have been on some of Wilton's defence I still think he is a great prospect so stars would have to align to sign someone over the top of him... or you know, we weren't looking like retaining him.

Few props in the super league that would suit our needs. Some pommy blood might just be what we need. I’m a fan of matty lees tho under contract like most of the decent ones.

He already IS playing NRL though, whether he earned it back or not he already has the privilege. And he is yet to throw it away (a second time).

We don't strongly disagree, I'm fine with not signing him and up until this time his name was raised I have been very much in the firm NO camp. He has been relatively incident free in the NRL long enough that I wouldn't mind if we did sign him though.

The guy was 20 at the time and is now about to turn 28. That is definitely a part of someone's life where they can significantly mature and change as a person.

This is the rumour thread, you can talk about anything in here, the goal is to get the page numbers up I believe. Or I can just make up some nonsense
One of the wiggles wants to buy the Tigers and bring Balmain back.
Yeah and I disagree with him being back in the league at all tbh. The only hard point I find is the payment of damages to the victims.

I'm definitely not insinuating that he's still the same person or anything like that, I know nothing about him or his journey over that time. I just hold the opinion that to overcome a indiscretion like his, he should have had to climb a mountain, and as far as I'm aware he didn't. I could be completely wrong, and it's not dissimilar in other sports, but it just feels like if you're good enough of an athlete you can get away with most things and still get another crack without too much effort. I don't like that.

Think we should maybe seriously consider Luke Thompson but only if he's willing to accept less then what he's on.

He does have a monster offer from Wigan I think it's 4 years at 800k a year. But if he wants to stay in Sydney and be part of a squad potentially playing finals for the next 3 years and giving it a real crack to win the GF then that could maybe convince him to stay for possibly 650k on a 3 year deal. Get him back to form and he'll be getting selected him England which will top up his pay packet and maybe chuck in some KPI's to boost his salary.

Which after his injuries though I think that's his worth ATM. Around the 650k a year mark

I think you're right, that's about what he'll cost. I just don't think he's worth the risk after that injury run. It would be an amazing get if he can stay fit though.

Yeah I didn't want him back into NRL either but that is old news now. While the motivation may have been good athlete + can replay victims I think he has (so far) proven a second chance was not unreasonable. Especially as it did allow the payment of his court ordered punishment.

I'd want to be paying Thompson less (or at least have decent amount tied up in match payments). He misses too much football.
Last 3 and a bit seasons
10/20
15/24
13/24
0/10
49% of games and this season isn't even a full one yet

Even Moylan's worst 4 year stint was 60% of games

I think if we play on the fact he has been so unlucky over here we could possibly convince him to sign a 1 year contract.

Come prove what your capable of in a team ready to win.

Liam knight looked pretty good coming back from injury last week. 106m in 25 minutes.
Might be one of the better options still available
