Choices between Fitz, Flanno, Benji and Ciraldo if rumours are to be believed.

I think the fact we will be competitive would be worth as much if not more than who the coach is.
Yeah unless he has some special bond with Benji from somewhere along the way, he isn’t very appealing just yet.

Ciraldo had a very average year. You could argue the Dogs actually went backwards.

Flanno has been out of the game for years now. Was good when coaching, but not really sure what players opinion of his “bad” past is.

Fitz from the outside he probably looks fairly successful as a rookie, minus not winning the big games (finals). Players do all talk very highly of him.

I don’t really think any of the coaches from the clubs in the chase stand out all that much differently to Fitzy, except for obviously Flannos success around that 2015-2018 period trumping him.

The player also needs to be happy to leave though, and not many would be walking out easily to a bottom club.

We have a lot of flexibility with our middles for 2025. Uele, Williams and Colquhoun are off contract. Oregan has a mutual option, Tommy a club option and Finucane drops to 300k.

If we needed to find cash, you could easily move on from Uele and Williams and fill those roles with big Tom and Colquhoun. (Not saying I'd be keen to move Williams, but it's an option if we needed cash as he'll likely need an upgrade).

Afb
Toby
Cam

Finucane
Colquhoun
Hazleton
Hunt/kaufusi

That's still a damn good pack and well balanced with youth and experience. Ideally you'd not take up Kaufusi's option and keep Williams there, but he'd need to be on board and it would cost more.

That's the point. They have to want to go or you likely have to kick the tin.

Also Uele is off contract im pretty sure after next season.
Sorry if I misunderstood but you did say "I’m getting rid of Uele every day of the week if it means gaining AFB" which looked to me like you'd turf him tomorrow.

His special bond at the Tigers is the Fainu's, including the one that's locked up.

However, he also has a cousin at the Sharks.

He started at Dragons so might feel affiliated there.

He has played for Samoa with Critta I think

Every club mentioned will have some link.

Getting rid of him also means not re signing him past his current deal. But yes i’d turf him tomorrow to sign AFB.

Warriors have said these are 4 players they would demand if AFB was to sign with either of these teams.

Dogs - KIKAU
St Merge - SU’A
Tigers - PAPPAL’I or STEFANO

Interesting to see which of our players they would be interested in.

Dogs - KIKAU - Unlikely
St Merge - SU’A - I could see Flanno making this deal
Tigers - PAPPAL’I - based on last season, yes or STEFANO - Yep.

Interesting to see which of our players they would be interested in.
Tigers in the box seat?

If it’s BHU then no need for a swap. He is a free agent anyway.

Not that I want to see him go BTW.
At his best, he is brilliantly good for us but Injuries have hampered him.

I wouldn't lose Stefano if I was them. He'd be on a reasonably club favourable contract, and AFB doesn't put them in premiership contention. They'd be better of keeping the extra money for a half.

Papalii could sense if Blore is staying. Su'a I could see happening, Kikau I couldn't despite it being a great move for the dogs.
